  1. As I’ve just posted, would you not think the sale of Wharton (despite being outside this accounting period) would be relevant in terms of the ‘going concern’ statement? ie. The auditor’s raise the concern with the club regarding the Indian court case and the uncertainties surrounding this. The club’s reply is, ‘don’t worry we’ve just pocketed circa £20 million pounds in player sales’
  2. I think you mean the below bit of the auditor’s report (this is the year ending 30/6/2022) I think A.Wharton’s departure will mean they’re happy to include the same this year.
  3. Oh no - another tricky thing to spell!
  4. ‘Receivables financings These financings allow clubs to borrow against the value of their future income streams, such as transfer fees (received in instalments from clubs they have sold players to), broadcast revenue or sponsorship income (in the case of EPL clubs, being payments of Central Funds [4]) and season ticket income, to access liquidity upfront. This market is generally dominated by a relatively small number of lenders, especially in the UK where both the EPL’s and EFL’s respective rules state that clubs may only assign their entitlement to transfer fees in relation to the sale of a player to a Financial Institution [5] [6]whilst EPL clubs are also restricted from assigning their rights to Central Funds to non-Financial Institutions [7].’
  5. Cheston is Finance Director. No idea what the head of finance does sorry!
  6. They might want to make that a handwritten memo.
  7. Same here but can access it through the podcast tab at the top of the messageboard index
  8. He’s lost @RevidgeBlue ‘s vote with that 😁😁
  9. If it is a Cheston, how long do they have to update with Companies House?
  10. Maybe the person ‘submitting’ the paperwork was more senior than GB.
  11. If we only took over his Orlando wages there won’t be any loss of earnings.
  12. As of yesterday he is 23 (and yes re the fee)
  13. Delay with the paperwork maybe?
  14. Incompetence is very expensive.
  15. Why open a door when you can open a window.
  16. Agreed - however… Fans might have a different perspective on the efforts of Rovers to get any connected deals done if they knew exactly when that domino had fallen. Less of an issue with clubs who communicate well with their fans…
  17. Not the most important point in that article but regarding the bit about Wharton. Clubs should have to announce deals as soon as they happen - not half a day later because they want to do some fancy social media nonsense.
  18. It does apply to us. EFL regulation…
  19. The system is set up to tell a club what documents are required in any given situation.
  20. Merchandising opportunity. We Are The Rovers balaclavas 😁
  21. I’ve just got that too by typing in the address. I then clicked on ‘teams’ and it went straight to the page… 🤷‍♂️
