  1. Were those ‘deals’ completed prior to the 2023 accounting period ending?
  2. Are you including add ons in your £25 million? If not, I think mine and your figures are actually very similar.
  3. If our financial position allowed us to ‘hold out’ for that sum then either (a) someone would have paid it or (b) he’d still be our player. It’s the shocking financial management of our club which means that win-win scenario wasn’t available to us.
  4. I think it’s a bit of both. Yes we should him for less than we should have but I don’t think any player’s value should more than double after just three months in a higher division.
  5. I think a club with better negotiators and/or in a better financial position would have got closer to £30 million including add ons (plus a better sell on percentage)
  6. @Upside Down posted the below link a few months ago (in the walk out song thread) https://traficante.bandcamp.com/track/mockery Edited to add - I said a few months ago, turns out it was July!
  7. Your guess is correct…
  8. I can answer that for them - no.
  9. 2010 accounts = 253 2023 accounts = 221
  10. The Four Seasons - Walk Like A Man
  11. Glen Campbell - Wichita Lineman
  12. We’re already letting them off the first half of our motto, what more do they want??
  13. This is on the proviso we offer him a new contract (on at least equal terms to his existing one) It wouldn’t surprise me if the club forgot that part of the regulation…
  14. Cypress Hill - Insane In The Brain
  15. Stealers Wheel - Stuck In The Middle With You
  16. See below (9.8 would only be used in relation to relegation/automatic promotion places):
  17. Journey - Don’t Stop Believin’
  18. Well other than that I was right 😄 Thanks for the correction 👍
  19. I hope you didn’t take my post as a criticism as that was not my intention. I was merely trying to show how the same thing can be said in different ways - I don’t consider either to be the right or wrong way of doing so.
  20. I think @Exiled_Rover issue is with the ‘loaded’ words - he for example may have worded things as follows* (I’ve used the same facts as @DE.) John Eustace (no change) As noted above, Eustace has managed 3 wins in 16. No home victories. This run included disappointing results against our relegation rivals and a heavy defeat at Bristol City. On the flip side, we got excellent and unexpected results at Sunderland, Leeds and Leicester as well as at home to Southampton. Eustace ultimately did what he was brought in to do, nothing more nothing less. I don’t think Eustace's reputation changes much either way from the last couple of months. * I’m sure he’ll correct me if I’m wrong!)
