  1. I’m not sure we’ve the cash to splash out on him.
  2. How about a bloke called Jizz? 😁 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jizz_Hornkamp
  3. JDT said both players were having scans today so I doubt this has come from any official channels.
  4. I wondered that too. I don’t know if the information is there and I just don’t know how to find it or whether those details don’t need disclosing. Perhaps someone with more knowledge than me can let us know…
  5. This isn’t something I feel I have the knowledge to really help with. I have taken a quick look at both club’s set of accounts for the period ending 30 March 2022 and what does stand out to me is: Our turnover was higher (£16.6 million vs 12.4 million) The overall staff costs were very similar (us £24.4m, them £23.9m) Our ‘other operating expenses’ were considerably higher (£9.9m vs £4.2m) We had player trading of + £6m, PNE’s was only +£300,000. PNE’s owner’s issued a further £14.4m of shares - I can’t find our figure but I seem to recall it was in a similar ballpark. PNE offset £3.3 million of their losses by way of reducing the overall tax payable by their owner’s other companies (I think @Mashed Potatoes pointed this out yesterday). I afraid I can’t help anymore than that!

  7. I can’t see any of those scenarios happening but I’d be delighted for you to be proven right.
  8. It’s nearly 50 years since they’ve beaten us at Ewood. Mind you it’s over 50 years since we beat them at home. Guaranteed to be a replay?? 😁😁
  9. Does it suggest it only covers future events? (I’ve never read it)
  10. Pays Waggott’s salary for a day and a half.
  11. I just wonder how much people are looking at the hype around the club rather than the reality of the quality of their team. I do agree with you that the number of away fans could play a part on the day.
  12. I must have missed the time when he was worth listening to.
  13. We’ve beaten every lower league club we’ve played this season - including one during the horrendous run we’re currently on.
  14. What if the judge asks why we haven’t tried to raise money (through player sales) over the past three weeks?
  15. Because the buying club would know our need for money had increased.
  16. Isn’t the whole idea of our current model that if the manager leaves the next one will play exactly the same way? If this is the case surely it doesn’t matter whose in charge when the player is signed** **I think it matters and I expect you do too. (I also doubt we will spend a single penny on fees this month)
  17. Not that I believe this is a realistic possibility but.., Wouldn’t we be dealing with Brentford rather than Arsenal? ie. ‘You’ll owe us £5 million in the summer but we will take £3 million if we can have it right now’

  19. As might this. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Administration_(British_football)#List_of_clubs_in_England_and_Wales_that_have_entered_administration_or_CVA
  20. I don’t want to worry you even more but take a look at how our GD compares to everyone else’s…
  21. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/23545658.blackburn-rovers-searching-vital-backroom-team-appointment/ Rovers will continue their search for a new set piece coach after the struggles in that department during the 2022/23 season. Director of football Gregg Broughton pinpointed as it an area to improve, with Rovers second bottom for goals scored from set pieces. They also shipped five goals from set plays in the run-in, and they will look to address that with the addition of a specialist in that area. Goalkeeping coach Ben Benson has largely been entrusted with set piece organisation, a regular fixture on the touchline issuing instructions (Eight months later…)
