The 'ITK's' or the 'i overheard something in the Lounge' on matchdayers ? ?

His International career has been well managed in that time though.....

No more paper bags full of cash though thanks.

Mowbray proved a good fit for Rovers after his first few months but can't believe there is even a case to be made he's a better overall manager than Hughton. The facts speak for themselves.
-
He's obviously not what they are looking for but when you weigh it up he probably hasn't cost them much. 1.5 million fee now, an alleged 1 million loan fee from Rovers and probably similar from West Brom the season before. Not bad when you can operate like that, the agents and player will still be quids in and the club have gone some way to covering their experiment.
-
Clearly i'm saying we used to be a very similar club to them and we can be again there's no need for Fulham to be light years ahead of us. They are now our role models not the likes of Brentford.
-
You go up on merit rarely on luck and there's 3 spots up for grabs so it doesn't really matter if you aren't the best. Some teams have a 40 goal a season strike pair but still don't make the top 6 so i don't think i missed the point really. For me they are the team we most likely need to emulate from where we are now.
-
If only it was that easy FFS ? Arma bangs them in this season with our messiah at the helm we should walk it then ! I'd happily swap places with Fulham any day of the week if anybody thinks we'd be any different to them they need some form of therapy. Yoyo for a few years is where it's at for the likes of us now and you know what it's no big deal.

Great move for player and club in the Tosin deal although i bet they are paying a right whack in wages. Be really interesting to see how he steps up, not sure he's ready for that yet but we'll see. New pitch line for Tony and Mark now to potential signings - come and showcase yourself here and if you're lucky Fulham will sign you ! How times have changed, that's why we really need promotion or to be in the mix for it regularly at least.

Rovers = Fulhams 'tester' club !

Agree on the sub thing its been badly missing a long time but just kind of sums up the lack of overall quality we've had. Often under TM its just been like for like or getting mins for players. If CHapman got his act together he'd fit into that category but game changing subs at Rovers in recent years have been very thick on the ground. Tactics play a part as well though when you chuck on your expensive young signing or 6'3 striker out wide then it's not going to have the same effect as getting them in the thick of it and aiming for them. -
More like a magistrates court these days though.
-
Could well be advantageous on the road helped by the fact we can be a good counter attacking side. Get a goal or two up away then the home crowd gets angry and their lot get back into it. That's not there now so its got to help sometimes. At home though it won't make much difference.

Don't agree it's aggressively critical at all that seems based on the messageboard more than Ewood to be honest. Plenty home crowds get irate and quicker than our lot but maybe they are quicker to back them as well so perhaps that's a difference. I just think Ewood is too quiet, has always had bad acoustics being so big and far from the pitch with just a scattering of fans in most lower areas now. That probably highlights the less than supportive gobs scattered around but no need to make it sound like some sort of lynch mob. Strange how the manager and players can't wait to get fans back in and have said so repeatedly. Also a bit strange how we usually have a decent home record most seasons. As said above i think you'll actually find Ewood being one of the most patient crowds in the country, too patient probably. As made out by the moaning there isn't enough aggression quick enough when we want a manager out. Can't have it both ways i'm afraid and it's the lack of numbers that makes it too eerie these days that's the problem rather than being too critical. Not that those in charge do anything whatsoever to help that. On the overall picture i agree lack of crowds will have an impact on some bigger clubs for sure the ones used to having tens of thousands in there. The influence down the years on officials at Anfield and OT to name two has been farcical at times bordering on corrupt. At Ewood though over the season i don't think it'll make much difference, might help a few youngsters maybe. For balance though when it's a tight game or a boring draw there is no one there to get you over the line or give you a verbal kick up the arse to try and win it.

Not been much of a fan of Bell but he's been doing his bit in a back line thats kept 3 clean sheets so it's his shirt to lose. When / if he does it would be nice to have someone decent step in and keep it if they are better. I still think no matter how good a new one might be there'd still be a bit of rotation in that position according to opposition. It's TMs default setting.

He'll be coming initially as back up/competition if he comes.

The State of Ewood Park!

As long as there is spare profits and it suits their company portfolio to 'lose' it through the books. -

Clubs need an official to cross the i's and dot the t's on league paperwork etc plus here the Manager virtually runs the show so it's a drain on his time. So they tell the V's w really need an experienced intermediate and we know just the guy who we can work with. In he comes then does his stuff taking a bit of pressure off the gaffer, rest of the time he has to find stuff to justify his job. If takings at ground level continue to all but disappear his position will surely come under scrutiny. Hence price rises and Swaggot taxes, imo he's looking for ways to pay for himself. Still we did need a CEO of some sort we did do for ages so he might be worth being around although it's very debatable what he's actually brought to the party. -

They're a tough side upper end Championship club so always going to be a tough test although i do think TM has predictably drawn the horns in a bit again. Chance falls to the right one and we nick it but we didn't blow it either so a fair point probably and big plus was the defense again. Lets judge Nyambe on his defending that's what he's there for first and foremost we can't be pointing fingers at full backs not creating enough in games like this. Mowbray always asks too much of them in that respect, they are just second tier players not Brazilians. Disappointed not to have won another game but only complaint is Gallagher you can bet your last quid he'll be starting out there again now. -
The guy overestimated the sales target last season and then moaned about being 300 grand short. He's a walking miscalculation.
-
Great move for fuel retailers snapping up a company with many fuel outlets. These lads are probably middlemen for some huge Petroleum corporation. Then using their percentages to invest in property there'll be no billions to spew on a football club they'd need other investors on board probably.
-
But they probably wouldn't be daft enough to pay the 200 million asking price.
-
The Issa Asda Ewood Stadium Has a certain ring to it, at least they'd be locally based for decisions.
-
A damn good deal in the eyes of those who cooked it up but it might not be what is needed right now if they are after numbers. Waggots tag line is squeeze what you have first so i'd expect more of this kind of thing.

Fully understand this summers dilemma of should we shouldn't we but given recent history Rovers have form for being late to the ST party compared to a lot of others. This time the dawdling has cost them badly as they put them on sale at the worst time with the fresh restrictions etc kicking in. I think it might have been double that if they'd made their minds up quicker. They're unlikely to move much now.
