Rubbish today typical after international break fare from Rovers. Do they spend it on the lash every time or something ? He's put them firmly back in their box after the early season excitement. I hope the thumb screws get turned on him a bit these season with the backing he's had the last few years.
-
Done it for cancer awareness to be fair.
-
Said all along Vs aren't bothered about that they'd fund it without fans permanently i reckon. As long as there was plenty televised publicity.
-
She must've threatened to stop making it if he didn't put his foot on the gas a bit.
-
They are doing it with not much money though, obviously decided to stretch it in the wages of as many decent loans as poss. Still only be a modest amount in the grand scheme of things. Very shrewd this time thankfully.

At the bookies before they close down, backing Rovers for many a 4-1 home banker.

Except the 100 million from Jack included buying the club and increasing its capital, building a training complex then an academy. Plus assembling a promotion, Prem winning side, manager and coaches. Venky's first 100 million ? Well about 70% of it has gone straight down the toilet. Only since relegation to lge 1 have we seen anything at all of real difference from their money, long may it continue. The next 100 mill could make all the difference ?

I said he needed to pull rabbits out of the hat this season after the covid fiasco and blowing millions in other windows. Looks like he's done that and reiterates what was said before he's another of those managers more suited to tight budgets than having a pocket full of funds. Hope they all show their abilities now over the season and we are at least in with a shout of moving up from the middle of the division.

Very much seems to me that he's available so they've decided they 'want' him rather than need him. Having said that the keeper situ ended up being a farce recently so maybe just a bit of forward thinking to guard against that again. Nothing wrong with that if the recruits are decent it's just the 'another' boro old boy gives this one an angle.
-
A proper left back - get in ! Welcome Buster Douglas ? Wonder where he'll try and shoehorn Bell in now though...
-
The most solid sensible one since we recruited for promotion from lge 1 imo if those come off..... Nice to see the scattergun has been put away.

I know you'd be the last person to do that my post is in regards to those who mentioned social media. What gets put about on facebook and twitter every time these share issues get an airing goes way beyond just giving them a bit of credit for trying to fix their mistakes. Blatant spin a lot of it.

Said all along that history would attempt to be re written at some point in time in regards to the takeover and their funding. It's amazing how myth gets turned into popular myth on social media it's like politics. There are people out there now indoctrinating younger fans into believing half truths and lies. Then they in turn have a pop at those who lived through it, were actually there and have seen it in all its gory detail. It's as bad as 'but Kean had us 2nd before fans drove him out'. The Walkers & Trust ended up being villians of the peace yes but they'd been pretty bang on before that. The club itself might have been squeezed but it was in fantastic shape compared to were it is now. The Vs didn't swoop in and stop us going bust but that's getting to become the bullshit go to line now.
-
Don't say that ?
-
I don't think so seeing as whoever he may be in dialogue with will now know he's got more cash to play with ? I reckon whoever they are in for the sums will already have been done.
-
I really don't think it works like that at all it's just rounding up the books when they do this.
-
Even they will be very well aware that to get rid they would have to write of nearly all that 'investment'. Best case scenario they'd get would be getting back their original takeover price and somebody taking on the overdraft. So them rumored to say they'd want all their money back means they've no intention to sell unless someone was daft enough to do that. Bottom line is they don't need to sell and can afford even in this climate to keep funding it so anything else is irrelevant really. Lets just hope now that some of that share capital keeps getting put in the right direction and it keeps coming in.

Agree although for once actually the international stuff has come in handy and might benefit Rovers as he's at least getting some useful action. All falls to bits if he gets injured again, allegedly in some cases and i stand where i always have on Evans. Been a very lucky man to be at Ewood in this era, good player to have in the squad but he's needed moving on for a while now. Things are changing in that dept and he's going to end up being another expensive bench warmer. Odd how nobody ever comes in for him seeing as he gets rated so highly for NI, then again they've seen how he operates and what he earns here.
-
Surely we don't need another keeper and i thought he was getting over the old boys act. Trouble is with TM i fear rotating keepers next if he has a load on the books !
-
This is another England manager who reached his ceiling a long time ago. Now just going through the motions like the others have flinging caps out and hoping something clicks
-
Agree on Downing it's just silly wanting to throw money at him now it's better put towards something else. Would he be handy, yes maybe if he was fit. Will we actually miss him now though, no i don't think so to be honest.
-
We wouldn't be Bury overnight as there are assets to cash which would keep the show on the road. Might well be the beginning of another slow death though unless a quick and meaningful takeover came to fruition.

The State of Ewood Park!
tomphil replied to A Northern Horde...'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
If the residents have their own parking bays then surely it wouldn't harm then to try and keep them tidy ? If they get charged for them somehow then fair enough it's the vendors responsibility. Wouldn't expect them having to clear up when there are matches on regularly either but in this odd hiatus get outside with a bin bag and brush if it's your space. -
He'll get used and play his part as always and if a player is doing that then his contract is justified. Only issue as far as he goes is the manager leaving someone out or jumbling things around so as to involve him. Other than that i don't see a Smallwood or Mulgrew situation as i think if he's not involved and told he won't be this lad would sort some kind of move out.

A solid sensible window if the left back comes and not before time, just what was needed.
