'continue to progress'... ???? I think the total and utter lack of that is the biggest issue on this one. Zero signs, very worrying as is the lack of finally facing up to the truth they've made a real cock up on that one. Once it's actually finally acknowledged only then can they decide the best course of action for club and lad and move forwards with it. All this over positive stuff is a step up the fools ladder it rarely delivers. Reality and dealing with that are what sorts things out for the better.

Hence the real reason they wanted the DE shut, games moved to early kick off v Preston etc. Absolute set of dinosaurs ! The players want atmosphere the jobsworths want everybody to sit down a be quiet, long been the case though. -

I remember a big guy with long hair regularly used to just turn around and whizz up the wall at the back ? Wonder if he's a poster on here ! -

Perhaps that's all that's allowed in it these days ? I'm not having it there is less than 5 thousand seats at least in there. -

If you're going to stand and want an area to create some real atmosphere you want to be behind the goals. There's a reason those areas often used to be the most popular. -

I don't know why the emergency vehicle access would apply to Ewood and not every other ground in the country ? It might have been in their thinking when it was built but i don't think it's an official requirement to that degree of basically a road at the front of the stand. That doesn't help the atmosphere seats being so far away from the pitch and as has been well documented it looks awful from the 85th min of every home game ! -

Must be 25/30 rows ? That takes us over 5k, possibly going on 6k. -

Sod it i'll just tweet the club and see if anyone actually knows. I do remember reading somewhere that there were over 5 and a half thousand seats in the Riverside although it does seem a stretch. Don't know if they are all available for sale either and therefore count towards the capacity. -

The West Brom type thing is exactly what it needs it would help the atmosphere no end. They could still leave the corners open like inbetween the JW and both ends to allow the air to circulate for the grass. -

You're just going off assumption though, 8k+8k +11 leaves 4k. I believe the JW to hold nearer 10 thousand. We could do with some actual real figures of seats to settle it. -

Can't believe anybody would even consider increasing capacity we'll never ever need it. Something with 3 or 4k seats in it that moves it closer to the pitch to improve atmosphere and look better. With a hotel complex or something incorporated to help justify it would be just the ticket. Needs to be done with outside investment not money that could be used on the team or from player sales. Unpopular opinion but if Venkys pay for it themselves then i suppose they are justified in naming it after a company of theirs or something. -

I'd love to be a fly on the wall at that Switzerland HQ down the years, just to see who's actually in there if nothing else.

In terms of signings when there hasn't been money around then you suddenly get a big wad you really have to make that count. We might get no more significant money again now so as was said at the time of the signings and has only been reinforced with what we've seen since. 12 million pounds could and should have been spent better there's no getting away from that it could have set us up as a top 6 side for a season or two. However if by this time next season Gallagher and BB are starting as strikers and have ten goals plus between them it'll be another of TM's come back from the dead jobs. Just cannot see it myself certainly where Brereton is concerned but we live in hope, we'll have to on this one.

As long as that level of losses and even the debt wherever it is are around we are one step away from being a Bolton. Yes it's ok whilst Vs fund it but taps have been turned off before and that led to relegation quickly. If they pulled out or found they couldn't sustain those losses every year anymore we go quickly up the creek. Everything was hunky dory at notlob until the kettle element man had a change of heart. He even wrote off about 100 million of debt but they still went tits up. Just one season in the Prem would've financially saved them, for a good while at least. No reason why it won't end any different here if we don't find a way up sooner rather that later. Those who just assume Venkys will sustain another decade of sitting in the middle of the championship losing 10 million plus per season probably need to have a rethink. Absolutely anything could happen their side of the fence in that time.

Cross cross cross then cross some more. Raya will shot stop all day and night it's the nitty gritty stuff that'll undo him. Put the ball right down his pipe 50 times ! -
Longer term it is probably promotion or bust, just one season in the Prem can alter things massively for a club in our situation. If it's overseen correctly of course. Sitting in the middle or around the play offs forever means a constant flow of a having a good player to sell or a fire sale every 3 or 4 years. Eventually you'll run out of steam with that.

If you really want success then at the business end of the season they are all must win before the game. Bother about the rest after. -
Selling Arma now becomes the scary thought, who'd have said that in the first third of the season ? Quite possibly for him to be then told no funds to replace him seeing as BB and Gallagher have been signed front loaded to prepare for Dacks eventual sale. Would mean yet another system change and another get on your knees and pray one of the others hits form. One of the others probably being Samuel as i predicted all along he'll get another deal. Still at least Dack should be back for second half of next season. What a massive tonic that might be.

Like everybody else ! Cut your obsession with it you've already been told by the club they are mindful but it isn't a concern yet. At no point have they said we can't fund signings and we have to stick with this squad and manager until the cycle starts again. Only you like to keep alluding to that in your project fear and it still doesn't alter the fact that 12 mill SHOULD have been put to better use !!!!
-
He/she keeps missing that point purposely. A ton of other clubs are doing the same as us trying to blood promising youth whilst trying to get the blend of experience and decent players plus your season in season out plodders right. I love how some keep trying to make out something unique is happening here it isn't it is just the way of the world in the championship. You have to use every ounce you have to get ahead of the game, some clubs have parachutes some have constant big crowds. Others are able every now and then to punch above their weight in transfers, you really really have to make that count !
