I share a lot of JAL's suspicions on these agent connections etc but I've no idea how many players this guy is involved with at Rovers or if it's at a level to be concerned about. It seems to be a thing outside the Prem these days to plonk strikers on the wing we've seen it enough under TM. Maybe it's all part of trying to develop young players games a bit or maybe just to accommodate them in the side due to appearance related things in contracts etc. It's definitely a thing though.

Neither of them wants to go to the others back yard first it's as simple as that I think but the public toing and froing is farcical now and makes me think a lot of it is just publicity to keep bigging up the fight. It's a risky business playing around like this in the HW division to keep delaying it, making money from so called routine fights inbetween and trying to build the fight even more, one big shot, slip or cut and either could unexpectedly fall off their perch and then it means far less if anything at all. There's dozens out there at any one time and quite a few decent who are without a club for one reason or another and when you're in a relegation scrap as we were it's all hands to the pump. Nobody said free agents would have saved us but when they hesitated in the window the TM came in it was too late for any transfers it became an option and we were desperate don't forget but that wasn't the point. Imo i'm sure he could've found someone more capable than the awful Wes Brown who cost us points in a few games when he had to be called upon or he could have recalled Wharton who could at least run and jump !! Sign 3 or 4 at the 11th hour that you might have signed earlier and you've saved a months wages, that's the V way. At least this summer there isn't the dread of who might depart for money at the last min to pay the summer running costs....

Coyle was a monumentally huge reason for relegation everything about his appointment and the way he went about things screamed it from the off. However the owners, Senior and TM himself could and should have strengthened the squad more when they had chance. Anyway that's done now we've come back in better shape on and off the park largely thanks to this gaffer but we are still a bit too light in different ways than before at the min.

Wilder really is a joker and not around this AJ you've got to look deeper the guys been around ten years yet only in his 40th fight did he get a decent dangerous name on his CV. That was in the shape of near 40 year old Ortiz who's only become relevant in recent years because there is no one else, good fighter and strong but old and slow and that's the only reason probably that Wilder got through him because LO simply ran out of gas real quick all of a sudden. Looking deeper into Wilder then in the past decade he has at one time or another and often more than once had serious offers to fight Klitschko's, Fury, Chisora, Whyte and now Joshua. No wonder he gets stick, also sorting fights with guys who've tested positive ( not his fault obv ) but no surprise when they get bans and hey presto he gets an easier option or a rest. Arranging fights these days is bonkers of course but like I said he's been around a decade now and champ 3 years yet his CV is pathetic and ram packed with 2nd and third level HW's. That'll continue with Breazeale there'll be no Fury fight it's just game playing, if it comes off he'll poleaxe the Fat one but he wouldn't have gone anywhere near him post Wlad before his meltdown / roids ban.

Sadly we have to concede we have a huge number of lapsed Prem era fans who've now for a variety of reasons become just fair weather supporters and only another golden era would get them coming regularly again. Bizarrely price for a lot of them wouldn't even be an issue with loads of televised games when the likes of UTD & Liverpool are pitching up they'll turn up. Barely 4 thousand home fans for the recent Everton friendly yet nearly 10k for the Liverpool one, that's very Blackburn !

To be fair even at Rovers you'd expect the crowds to go up a couple of thousand after a promotion season and maybe go back to similar to what they were a few years ago at least for a season. If not then you have to look into why not or you're not doing your job, as it stands we are probably set for similar home turn outs to the season we went down ? Disappointing if so, some serious stock being put into away followings to boost the revenue probably.

This is what happens when you bring outsiders in though they think a grain of success and a bit of constant positive spin and tickets will fly out again. It took Mr Williams a while to realise Blackburn is a very different area to those most clubs are situated in. I think it'll take Waggot a while to realise as well. Charlton or Coventry have a season like ours recently and they'd sell a hell of a lot more for obvious reasons despite not having maybe a Blackburn Rovers profile.
