Because he'll be too busy watching what's going on over in Sheffield. -

There's always so much irony involving Rovers and the LT it's comical. Young Elliot whilst bemoaning on behalf of Rovers will be getting wood at the prospect of his team nicking a signing Rovers were all but about to finalise. -

Nixon is talking shite and now toeing the Venky protecting line again. If that lad didn't fly over here he wouldn't have had chance to sign for anyone. As for Wharton i suspect that deal has been done and dusted for a long while but Rovers have asked them not to confirm it yet so they can squirm out of committing to any cash signings. It's a farce alright but most roads will lead back to this end as usual. -

All the kids on twitter saying hes literally sacrificed himself just to financially save his beloved club are going to be disappointed. -

How can we possibly do anything until a deposit drops in the bank for Wharton or the Raya sell on and the bank say ok proceed ? Everything on hold until then i'd assume. -

He rates Gallagher but he'd replaced Trav with Trons and they obviously decided on balance they didn't want a squad man on decent money. So it comes back down to cost cutting as Travis could serve the squad in other positions, provide cover and was a useful sub. If every player who sulked, fell out with the boss, got dropped was bombed out there'd be no one left. I'd stake my arse if he was on 3 grand a week he'd have been told to button it and get on with it because he was a handy experienced guy to keep about. -

Could be, iv'e definitely read from another clubs end about this but i thought it predated GB and the new set up. Probably not though when it's the same Venky people who have to have the final say. -

I believe we have form for this sudden goal post moving when a deal is agreed in principle and the player is in the building. Stuffed a few lined up TM signings...allegedly. -

That's the figure iv'e seen banded about but it should be double that for a lad of his age with experience he has now. -
Point being they for once could inject funds for transfers in summer even if the running costs are covered due to it being ok on the balance sheet for FFP for the firt time in years. However in the highly unlikely event they ever intended to do that they can't unless they get court clearance to invest in the team which won't happen. Yet another remarkable set of coincidences when we just happen to flog a 20 million player and as a result of those coincidences they will never move this club forward even when FFP - a recurring excuse - actually allows it. The summer will at best be spent looking for 2 or 3 500k signings instead of just 1, guys like Pickering, Markanday and O'Conner as that is now the 'model'.

Actually think Dolan would do ok in the Prem with Luton his only real issue is pass and move instead of trying to take anyone who is front of him on instead. Maybe they'd drill that out of him but losing him for 1.5 mill is pretty grim imo and maybe hes known about this all along hence not signing. Broughton said it would be all wrapped up by Dec '23 but has said nothing since so more poor communication and promises there. This is really shaping up to be fire sale. -

If he has enough left in the legs to come on late and help us see games out then it's something we've been badly lacking especially if he can organise defending set pieces. -

The Wharton money people keep mentioning as if there's going to be some big splurge well there won't be. He hasn't gone yet and whatever the fee only a first instalment will drop straight away and that will disappear into running costs. -

The Coventry guy until the end of the season makes decent sense we are crying out for some experience and able back up in this squad. -

The correlation between didn't cost much and what you find you actually get is rather crystal clear. So those who keep saying it doesn't matter well it does actually and it matters quite a bit when you end up with 3 or 4 on contracts and you can't get rid. -

The issue is what we might have to pay him to get him off the books if as suspected he's on a 10k a week deal with 3.5 yrs left. Bolton won't just take that over so he'll want severance pay that's why Rovers need some sort of fee. -
Classic BBD goal that was you'd always put money on him when he comes from far left with half the pitch to himself to cut onto his right. Question is why would you allow him that room in the first place, Championship clubs got wise to it eventually.

Well you can look whilst you're 'scrawling' but you won't find me however it wouldn't concern me a jot if i was. Put it this way, when you're next at a match and we concede a poor goal and are losing but come back to win make sure you go around the immediate area and register your thoughts to lose who were effing and blinding at 0-1 down. -

It's a bit more sad scrawling back through a thread after a win to try and make an issue of a few over the top comments 12 hrs later. -

Yes there are quite a few seemingly hanging their hat on Buckley and whilst he has something to offer - albeit he's never shown it enough - he's just a body to add numbers. In a specific role like Wharton he's not up to tying Ad's boot laces i'm afraid.
