  1. Brentford make 2 subs. This is when we start to unravel usually...
  2. Best performance of the season so far, although that might be because the last few I remember have been so shite. Best goal of the season as well. What a move by the whole team. Evans having a great game despite all the hate he was receiving on here pre-game. Don’t get why people don’t like him so much. He was one of our most consistent performers last season and is great to have as an option in the squad. That said, given our recent performances I’ve got no confidence that we can see out the game.
  3. Gallagher has been dreadful. Armstrong anonymous. How long until Graham and Rothwell come on?
  4. I don't know if I can watch another game after this one. Just puts me in a bad mood for the rest of the day. It's not even the loss that bothers me, it's the shocking performance. Players look disinterested and lost.
  5. Something needs to change tactically second half. Go 3 at the back and actually put our players in their natural positions. Gallagher needs to come off, he has been awful. You have to feel for Dack.. he's the only player actually trying to make something happen, but has no one to link up with.
  6. Still can’t believe we’ve brought Holtby in on a free. He is different class. Him and Dack can absolutely ravage teams in this league once they get going.
  7. Seeing the lineup pre-match, I was actually feeling positive because it looked like Mowbray was going to take a risk and play 3 at the back. Can't believe it's actually ended up being a back 4 with Bennett at LB. Of course he gives away a penalty in the opening 15 minutes... absolutely woeful. If we lose this, I will lose the little faith I have left in Mowbray. This team looks devoid of spirit right now.
  8. You’d think this was a friendly if you didn’t know it. Absolutely dire.
  9. A rocket from Travis! Hopefully that fires them up. Is that his first Rovers goal?
  10. Dreadful so far, and getting worse by the minute.
  11. It's showing on Bet365 in Australia, not sure about Singapore. I hate these random games that get picked for international coverage... I pay for a season subscription, but so many games end up not being shown.
  12. A signing like this can be the difference between top 10 and top 6. Personally I’m excited to see him in action. Hopefully we see a strong reaction from the players this weekend as well. Rothwell, Dack, Armstrong, Buckley, Downing will all need to be at their best to give TM a selection headache.
  13. Commentators said it was a slight knee injury keeping him out.
  14. A lot of dangerous tackles flying around in this half... there's surely a red card coming. Waiting for the inevitable Assambalonga goal as well...
  15. Great start so far.. Cunningham is really impressive. Him and Johnson have massively improved this team. Only negative for me so far is Gallagher out wide - he is doing okay, but he is not a winger and feels wasted out there.
  16. Won’t be surprised if we end up doing some deals like Brereton (loan to buy) after the window shuts. Looks increasingly unlikely any more business will be done before the deadline.
  17. I am not someone that's in the 'Mowbray Out' camp, but his substitutions in the game were absolutely baffling and he has to 100% take responsibility for that result. Nothing has changed from last season as far as Bell, Mulgrew and Bennett are concerned. Mulgrew is the main culprit for me because he is the captain and has to shoulder more blame for these abject defensive performances. Towards the end of last season when Williams partnered Lenihan, we were much more stable in defence, even with Bennett and Bell as full backs. So I am hoping Tosin is the answer there. Bennett was our weak link at the end of last season and I think he was again today. I don't think Nyambe is the answer though. Nyambe, like Bell, have good atheleticism, can run at defenders, but they lack that final ball and more often than not make the wrong decision. Nyambe is younger, so I have more hope that he will develop, but Bell probably won't. For me, they are useful squad players, but they are not good enough to be starters in a promotion-chasing side. That worries me as we potentially need at least 2 more defenders brought in. Unless our young players like Magloire, Rankin-Costello and Hart can step up and make a huge impact on our season...
  18. I'm hoping that first half might just be a blessing in disguise. What it showed is the squad is moving in the right direction, but this back four is not good enough for promotion. Hopefully that wakes a few people up and another defender is brought in. Mulgrew and Bennett can't be starting. Bell I don't think has been that bad, but he lacks the final ball at times and it's extremely frustrating. Would love a full back that can play on either side. The 4 new signings have looked good so far, but a bit nervy. Johnson the best by far though. Him and Travis is the midfield partnership we've been crying out for for years. Rothwell or Brereton to come on and bag the winner.
  19. https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/transfer-news/expert-view-new-blackburn-rovers-16673943 Seems like a good signing to me. Watched a few videos of him and he looks very quick, but also calm and composed at the back. Can’t wait to see him and Lenihan as the CB pairing. Still a bit worried about our FB area though. Bennett/Nyambe and Williams/Bell were not convincing last season for me.
  20. Which individuals has he blamed? Didn’t he only recently give an interview admitting his mistake that he wanted to give last season’s team a chance and that now he feels he should have strengthened in January?
