  1. Definitely needs to come off at half time. Done 1 or 2 nice things but looks completely off the pace and unable to handle Brentford. Wouldn't mind seeing someone like Davenport coming on to help control the midfield and keep possession.
  2. I don't know if we can hold on, but surely Raya has a gaffe in him today. Walton has been excellent today, so you just feel Raya will do something silly.
  3. Brentford are looking really good so far. Best team I've seen us come up against in a while.
  4. Interesting that we have our biggest point total in those last 6 seasons now as well. I think 70 points would need to be enough to secure a playoff spot if we want to have a chance. I can see us hitting the 70 point mark but not more than that.
  5. People being pretty harsh on Del. He was performing well at CB at the end of last season and the start of this one. He was never dropped because of his performances, but because of injury. Although I think he played better with Cunningham on the left flank next to him. I always get the feeling that him and Bell don’t work that well on the left side of defence.
  6. Some great performances tonight, especially from the fringe players. Special mention for Johnson who has been in poor form of late but bossed the midfield today. Samuel has impressed me a lot in the last 2 games. He looks more ‘ready’ than Brereton and Buckley. Brereton always looks so clumsy on the ball, highlighted by him running the ball out of play. Buckley is very inconsistent, with some of his passing today putting us in a bad position and other passes looking top class. Also I thought Chapman did well after coming on. Some nice runs and a cracking challenge. Not much time to really impose himself on the game though. I like seeing all these players getting a chance right now. Brings a bit of excitement to the games each week. Who’s going to score next week??
  7. Thoughts so far: This has been Bell’s worst game in a while. Him and Bennett have been absolutely terrible and constantly losing possession. Graham has done okay, but has still been a passenger for most of the game. Everyone else has been playing quite well. Armstrong should be on a hat trick by now, so I hope that doesn’t come back to bite us later. Nyambe MOM for me so far. Hull are an awful side. Their only good player is Jackson Irvine and the GK has been pretty good as well. We have to win this one. I’m expecting Graham, Bennett and Johnson to come off after half time.
  8. I don’t know if I would call that options. 6 goals between Graham and Gallagher all season. How much football has Samuel played since he got injured nearly 2 years ago? It’s unlikely that Graham and Samuel are here next season either. Ben needs to be given a run in the side and preferably up top. Better give him a run now when we are relatively safe and expectations are low due to injuries than next season where there will be a lot of unknowns.
  9. I always find it amazing just how much hate Mowbray gets on here. Especially in the context of the last few years and the utter dross we’ve had for managers. Fact is that in the last 50 years of Rovers, there have only been 2 managers with a better win % than Mowbray: Kenny Dalglish and Howard Kendall. You would think he would get a bit of a break on here on that basis alone.
  10. Bell was struggling against Samuel. So much so that TM brought in Bennett on the left to shore that side up defensively. Warburton’s decision to move Samuel to the left is probably why they failed to equalise as he was barely in the game second half...
  11. Opposition players really hate Travis don't they? ?
  12. He's played worse, but he sticks out as the weak link in our side right now. Particularly because the rest of the team is playing so well. He's also up against QPR's best player in Osayi-Samuel, so he's struggling to contain him. If they score a 2nd it will be down that side.
  13. Is anyone else getting a patchy feed from iFollow right now? Audio keeps cutting in and out for me.
  14. Credit to QPR - they look up for it just like us. Impressed by Hugill and Oseyi Samuel in particular so far. If only we could trade our Samuel for theirs...
  15. Bloody hell that was good! Arma is clearly in-form and loving it right now. Rothwell's run and pass was absolute class as well - he's shown just how good he can be.
  16. How many clubs have actually had a net spend on transfers this season? There appear to only be a handful of clubs and we’re one of them.
  17. Bell is a good backup option. I don't think he should be first choice, and we need to bring in someone like Cunningham as the regular starter at LB, but I think Bell has proven that he can come in and put in a solid performance when required. It doesn't make sense to me to let him go and replace him with a more expensive option that may or may not be better. If he's willing to stay and compete for a place then I'd give him another short term deal (1 or 2 years).
  18. Chuffed for Gally... he was playing really well, especially in the first half and really needed to get that goal. Would have been disappointing for him if he came away from another game without a goal. Top drawer performance from all our players though, couldn't really fault any of them today and hopefully it's a massive morale boost all round.
  19. YESSSS!!! Goal for Gallagher and assist for JRC!! 5-0
  20. I like the look of Davenport - very similar player to Evans. Composed on the ball and good in the tackle as well. I think he offers a good option while Evans is injured.
  21. 3-0!!! Bloody hell Armstrong is in some form right now. This is the best performance I've seen from Rovers in a while... when we play like this we feel unstoppable.
  22. Brilliant start and brilliant goal. This is the Rovers that we want to see every week! Big positive that Holtby got the goal as that will give him a bit more confidence. Just need a goal from Gally now as well..
  23. I think Bell has looked the way he usually does... looks really good going forward, but a major worry defensively. Of the 2 full backs, Bennett has been worse though tbf.
  24. Rothwell's finally woken up... great ball up to Armstrong for the goal, and his attacking play generally improved during the latter stages. If we have anything about us we will at least draw this game. Half the Forest team look to be carrying knocks.
