  1. That tackle from Brereton was absolutely pathetic.
  2. Beautiful pass from Nyambe there - unlucky that Gallagher's pullback couldn't find anyone. Feels like there's a goal coming... just hope it's for us!
  3. Gallagher has looked good since coming on, give the guy a break.
  4. Bell has scored more goals for Rovers than Brereton.
  5. Selfish by Brereton there. Could have laid it off to Bell who was in acres of space on the left.
  6. Evans does look a bit lost out there. I think he's been out injured too long and not used to the tempo we play at now. Very much been a stalemate so far.. neither team able to make much happen.
  7. Few upsets on the cards tonight maybe. Rotherham 1-0 up against Norwich and Barnsley 1-0 up against Bristol. Good time for us to pick up 3 points...
  8. Just spotted an old familiar face on the touchline - Steven Reid. Didn't realise he was part of the backroom staff for Forest now.
  9. Forest have a very strong team out. Lolley, Ameobi, Freeman, Grabban all playing.
  10. Can't see anything but a draw today. Too many players out - if we do happen to pick up a win tonight then that would be a real sign of our intentions and ability this season. Hoping for a Brero wonder goal tonight!
  11. Maybe at his age he's not at his peak anymore, but he is basically as good as we could hope for at LB in the Championship. Better than Cunningham IMO. I think our team looks so good right now, and would be even better if we were to bring in Pears and Trybull as well. My only worry is the injury-proneness of a lot of our players and the impact that could have on our season. Other than that, we are promotion contenders and I am gearing up for an exciting season!
  12. Brereton needs to be taken off. I've seen him run away from the ball too many times in this game and he's constantly pointing to others to mark a man, while avoiding defensive duites himself. Really annoying me today.
  13. Johnson having a really poor game today. He's not been able to have the same influence on the game today and it's been hurting our chances.
  14. I think it's got to be Brereton/Gallagher fighting for 1 spot and Dolan/Chapman fighting for the other.
  15. Great save by Kaminski there... so far he has been a very good signing.
  16. Still buzzing after the win last night, but looking back with a critical eye I think there are still concerns in both full back areas. Nyambe was quite poor when he came on. His positioning was awful and he got caught out several times at the back. Bell had one of his better games, but there was 1 or 2 moments he got beat too easily by his man. With JRC injured, we lack depth at both LB and RB. Bennett is also not good enough as a full back and I get the feeling that Mowbray will look to play him in the middle this season if he’s needed. More depth needed and I hope we do sign at least one full back before the window shuts.
  17. Amazing game and result. I'm sure I've said this many times before, but I really love this current Rovers team and hope we can go all the way this season finally. Everyone associated with the club in the past couple of seasons deserves it. We're getting these results without 2 of our 3 top scorers last season (Dack and Gallagher). What a team!
  18. Has any team won games 5-0 back to back before? Would love for us to do that,
  19. Arma gets his goal! Nice assist from Chappers as well - he's going to have a role to play this season too.
  20. Derby seeing a lot more of the ball at the moment. Almost Buckley time I think... need someone to help control possession.
  21. All I'm saying is it's not a ludicrous decision to keep JRC at RB again this week. It would have been a really difficult decision to make and in the end it's not proven to be a disaster. Personally I don't really rate JRC as a full back, and I think he has struggled a bit today. He offers more than Nyambe in terms of creativity and creating scoring opportunities, but Nyambe is superior in terms of pace and defensive ability.
  22. JRC has done pretty well at RB, but he lacks pace and has had to make up for it with some well timed tackles. I wouldn't be against Nyambe coming on in the second half with fresh legs to make sure they don't get back into the game. Kaminski has been solid so far, but he has a habit of saving the ball into the path of opposition players, which is a bit of a worry.
