  1. Yea having the same issue. I have a season pass but confused whether this game is included or not.
  2. Would love Cunningham back if he can still perform to the level pre-injury. Kaminski, Kipre and Cunningham would make this an excellent window. Ticking all the boxes.
  3. Is that the UK’s next entry into the Eurovision Song Contest?
  4. Came off for Brennan, so maybe he isn't fully fit or nursing an injury?
  5. Dolan has looked very, very good. Hope to see more from him this season.
  6. Didn't need that long! Who's this Dolan kid?? Never heard of him before.
  7. Travis and Brereton looked pretty knackered today. Disappointing penalty from Brereton - a few bright moments but he looked more like pre-lockdown Ben than post-lockdown Ben. Barely noticed Holtby and Buckley - not really convinced by either from that performance. Really want to see a lot more from both of them in creating chances or scoring goals. Bell and Nyambe were okay - but for a side that should be battling for promotion I'm not convinced they are good enough. If we were able to bring a class LB and RB, with Bell and Nyambe adding depth, we would have a much stronger squad. Of course, it's just a friendly against Fleetwood, so can't judge a whole lot from it.
  8. Davenport just cleared off the line. Really like the look of him so far. He looked good in the few cameos at the end of last season as well. I think between him, Travis, Evans and Johnson we're well covered in the middle. Fisher has made several errors and definitely doesn't look like he's ready to even be backup for us so far. Wharton has looked okay but I think he is not dominant in the air enough. He should be given a chance this season, but I think he should only be there as a backup for Lenihan. Given Lenihan's history with injuries, he'll probably get enough games over the season!
  9. Excellent goal from Chapman there. Our best player on the pitch even before the goal.
  10. Or maybe it has something to do with Mowbray returning to work this week...
  11. I think this is the most excited I've seen this messageboard in a very long time! Great timing for the signing and hopefully it's the first of several. I would genuinely be excited for this season if we brought in Kaminski and a quality LB and CB as well.
  12. What stood out to me is the formation in the top right being in the shape of an arrow pointing to where our weak point is!
  13. The signings we make will determine what my expectations are for the coming season. I think the weak points in our squad last season were at LB and GK. We got much better results with Cunningham at LB and when Bell actually had a good run of corn as well. We also need someone much better than Walton. Just having those 2 positions sorted would help us push for a play off spot. Obviously we now don’t have Tosin either, so it would be good to get someone of his quality in, otherwise we are much weaker. I don’t think we’ll be dragged into a relegation battle without filling those 3 positions, but the more of those 3 positions we fill the higher our likelihood of promotion. I’m not really worried about our midfield and striker options. The likes of JRC, Holtby, Brereton, Gallagher, Davenport, Rothwell, Chapman, Buckley and Vale need to step up this season and prove they are good enough not just for the Championship but the PL as well. It’s make or break season for me. If Mowbray can’t get enough out of the above players then someone else needs to be brought in to do it. I wasn’t expecting us to get promoted immediately after promotion from League One, but 2 seasons is enough time to stabilise us and push on.
  14. I don’t know about this Aynsley Pears. I would prefer Packham Pears myself.
  15. Red Bull are a marketing powerhouse and have been very successful implementing their business strategy. I watched a really good mini doco on this recently: https://youtu.be/cBRNQMolTPw Owning a football club directly ties into Red Bull’s marketing strategy and so they’ve really made a success of it. I don’t really know what Venky’s aims are. It seems like it was just an ego trip for Balaji to own a football club. Initially maybe it was seen as a marketing vehicle for their fast food business, but that’s obviously been a catastrophic failure and they went about it the wrong way. Red Bull have bought football clubs to build on an already strong brand and product, whereas Venky’s did it to help market an unknown product. That’s the big difference.
  16. Appreciate you doing the analysis but those graphs are pretty misleading. You’ve got the bars for Wharton set to intervals of 10, while Lenihan is 20, and Tosin and Goode are 25. It makes it look like Wharton is far better in the stats than he actually is.
  17. Where has all the speculation about Nyambe come from? Only 2 months ago he was talking about how he wants to one day play in the PL, but he wants to do it with Rovers. I think it’s unlikely he is leaving, and it’s unlikely any of our key players will leave this summer. Armstrong’s best form has been under Mowbray, so he would be stupid to want a move right now. Dack is going nowhere after his injury.
  18. LB and GK are the 2 priorities in my view. GK obviously since we’ll have none after Walton and Leutwiler leave. We have to bring in someone better than Walton was this season. Too many cheap goals given away due to bad keeping. I think one of the things that hurt us the most this season (besides Dack’s injury) were the long term injuries to Cunningham and then Bell. Relying on Bennett and then JRC at LB cost us points this season and was definitely our weak spot. I really like the look of JRC, but he needs to be playing in midfield not at LB. I see Williams and Wharton as solid backup options at CB, but I definitely think we need a better quality defender to partner Lenihan. Tosin was a fantastic signing and I don’t know if we’ll manage to find someone else of his quality again. Given our budget will likely be limited, I think we need to persist with the attacking and midfield options we have. Chapman, Brereton, Gallagher, Holtby and Rothwell can all be potent in this league but they need to find consistency. Between them, Dack and Armstrong we should be able to produce more than enough goals to reach the playoffs next season. Despite my frustrations with Mowbray this season, he deserves one more season. If he can’t at least get us into the playoffs next season then I would agree with most here that we may need to look for options elsewhere.
  19. I hate this 3 striker formation that Mowbray persists with. Maybe if the strikers were any good it would be okay but as it stands we consistently play with 2 wide strikers that are ineffective. Can’t score, can’t create, can’t defend. Feels like we’re playing with 9 men every week. What’s the point of having 3 strikers if your creative force in the middle consists of ... Travis and Johnson.
  20. Get in!!! Another beauty. Justice after some outrageous refereeing.
  21. We are looking good so far. Two yellows for Bristol already. Liking the Brero/JRC combination on the left.
  22. Mine's finally loaded up... if anyone is still having issues try restarting your browser and/or refreshing a few times. I had to do it a few times before it finally loaded...
