We're really pushing for a goal before half time. -

I think it's got to be Brereton/Gallagher fighting for 1 spot and Dolan/Chapman fighting for the other. -

Great save by Kaminski there... so far he has been a very good signing. -
Still buzzing after the win last night, but looking back with a critical eye I think there are still concerns in both full back areas. Nyambe was quite poor when he came on. His positioning was awful and he got caught out several times at the back. Bell had one of his better games, but there was 1 or 2 moments he got beat too easily by his man. With JRC injured, we lack depth at both LB and RB. Bennett is also not good enough as a full back and I get the feeling that Mowbray will look to play him in the middle this season if he’s needed. More depth needed and I hope we do sign at least one full back before the window shuts.

Amazing game and result. I'm sure I've said this many times before, but I really love this current Rovers team and hope we can go all the way this season finally. Everyone associated with the club in the past couple of seasons deserves it. We're getting these results without 2 of our 3 top scorers last season (Dack and Gallagher). What a team!

Has any team won games 5-0 back to back before? Would love for us to do that,
-
Arma gets his goal! Nice assist from Chappers as well - he's going to have a role to play this season too.
-
Derby seeing a lot more of the ball at the moment. Almost Buckley time I think... need someone to help control possession.
-
Tony rested the wrong player.

Is Benno our new manager?

All I'm saying is it's not a ludicrous decision to keep JRC at RB again this week. It would have been a really difficult decision to make and in the end it's not proven to be a disaster. Personally I don't really rate JRC as a full back, and I think he has struggled a bit today. He offers more than Nyambe in terms of creativity and creating scoring opportunities, but Nyambe is superior in terms of pace and defensive ability.
-
JRC has done pretty well at RB, but he lacks pace and has had to make up for it with some well timed tackles. I wouldn't be against Nyambe coming on in the second half with fresh legs to make sure they don't get back into the game. Kaminski has been solid so far, but he has a habit of saving the ball into the path of opposition players, which is a bit of a worry.

Nice again by Brereton but fluffed his chance... desperate for him to get a goal. You can tell he's so unsure of himself as soon as he gets a scoring chance.
-
Arma hasn't even had a sniff yet and we're already 3-0 up.

I can't believe what I'm watching right now...
-
Cocu looks shell shocked haha

Yea the one that lost against Germany 7-1.

DOLAN!!!

I'm watching it on Bet365.

Wondering this as well as just noticed there's no video stream available for me.

JRC was in the Championship team of the week along with Johnson, Williams, Dolan and Armstrong. He also had the 2nd most touches and 2nd most shots on goal last week (including hitting the wood work), so was heavily involved in everything we did. Yes, TM has changed winning sides before... but how many times have we won 5-0 before?
-
Just shows the difficult decisions to make in squad selection right now. Going to be made even harder once Evans, Travis, Dack, Gallagher and Ayala are all available as well. JRC and Dolan combined very well down the right flank last week, it would be harsh to break that up. Any talk of Mowbray not favouring Nyambe or dropping him due to an unsigned contract is rubbish. It's a complete injustice to Nyambe to suggest that he would be sulking because of contract issues and has been dropped as a result.

Finally got a response to my email that I sent to iFollow 2 weeks ago regarding my issues with the subscription renewal. Their response: "we're sorry but we couldn't find your account". I have no words for the level of incompetence... I must have imagined using iFollow for the last 3 seasons then... I managed to resolve my renewal issues anyway, so not going to bother further with them. Just as an FYI to anyone who might have an issue with this in the future - I figured out that despite the fact that I had set updated credit card details in the account as my default, it was still picking up the old expired details when trying to process the payment. Renewal went through fine after I completely removed the old payment details.

Looking forward to the game tonight. We've played probably the worst and best team in the league so far, so will be interesting to see how we do against a side with similar aspirations and performances to us. I'll go with a 2-1 Rovers prediction as well. Would be harsh to drop JRC, but I don't think he is that great as a full-back honestly. Nyambe is much better and more reliable. JRC has great technique and gets himself into good attacking positions, so should be playing further up the pitch. Brereton needs to keep getting starts for now to keep building his confidence. I'm still not convinced by him playing out wide though, as he doesn't have the pace of Rothwell, Armstrong or Dolan. Personally I prefer him playing more centrally where he can drop deeper to pick up the ball and bring the wide strikers and box-to-box midfielders into play.
