With all due respect, and I know it was said in jest, but he has his UEFA Pro license and has more experience in management than the likes of Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney when they were handed championship jobs, as well as John Terry and Michael Carrick who are continuously linked with decent jobs. Im not advocating for McCarthy to get the job but he may as well throw his hat in the ring.

I'm a regular critic of the LT but in fairness to them Mowbray hasn't even had a conversation about him leaving with the club so how are any reporters supposed to know anything at all? I'd probably say this one most likely isn't on Venkys. Sounds to me as though it's TM that has had the final say and Venkys initially didn't want to sell to anyone, especially Bournemouth, but TM has talked them round. There will be money spent tomorrow.
