I hope all goes well with your treatment DeeCee. Hopefully a few Rovers wins can make it more bearable.

In truth I don't really understand what is going on (does anybody) but my hope is that the story really discredits them and affects their standing in India. I've always thought there are people who signed NDC's who know where the bodies are buried at Ewood. Hopefully some can go public and then the screw on these reprehensible people.

https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2023/september/04/young-duo-called-up-for-under-19s-duty/ International recognition for three of our youngsters along with Adam Wharton who has been called up to represent England under 20's.

I wasn't actually. It just occurred to me at Home Park as the scores were coming through.

I see there is another television series about the Dingles for us to endure. It's called Pointless.

Jon Dahl Tomasson - Sweden coach
arbitro replied to Tom's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Tomasson's ambitions clearly outweigh those of the owners or their acolytes at Ewood. That, for me is only going to end one way. These people have blighted our club for the last thirteen years and whilst they are here we will tread water at the very best. They have very little interest in the club and its well being but they seem to be happy just to meander along whilst putting in a Kings ransom just to allow us to do so. Why?- 9495 replies

v Plymouth Argyle (a) - 2/9/23

Just back after a gruelling 640 mile round trip and still feeling the disappointment from a game in which we should have got something. Scoring first is usually advantageous and I really feel if we had our away one of our first half chances we would have won. But we didn't and it was almost predictable when Plymouth scored. The start of the second half was really good from a football point of view as we poured forward and created chances and half chances. To finish the game losing 3-0 left me feeling flat and if I'm totally honest a little worried. We simply have to put more of the chances away otherwise it could be a long season. -

It sounds like Plymouth are trying to eradicate persistent standing at Home Park. In my experience the busier stewards like to set an example with visiting supporters first. Be aware. https://www.pafc.co.uk/news/reminder-fans-persistent-standing -

I'm sure I read that last season Tomasson won more cup games than Mowbray did in five years. -

I can't see that Cardiff are playing on the Sunday from the Sky listings. https://www.skysports.com/watch/football-on-sky/competitions/championship -

There was green paint sprayed on Queen Vic's statue which seemed to be there for years. The route to Ewood from town was also littered with Plymouth slogans spray painted on various walls and buildings. -

That was such an enjoyable evening as, for a rare occurrence I could relax and really enjoy a Rovers performance. What a credit to the club these youngsters are. Great attitude and desire to do well and from Tomasson's comments it seems they are great to work with too. I counted seven academy graduates in the team that finished alongside two youngsters in Bloxham and Markanday. Quite often games that see teams three or four up at the break and up with no second half goals but tonight our desire for more goals was clear to see and we could have had twelve. I loved Tomasson's post match comment that he wanted ten. Keeping Tomasson here should be the highest priority and the powers that be should be sitting down with him now with the offer of an extension to his deal. No penny pinching, no prevaricating just get the deal done. We won't make a better signing. -

I find it incredible that any fan doesn't want to progress in any competition. Beating West Ham last season was one of the highlights for me. And Tomasson thankfully makes a big thing about progressing in both cups when the games come around. Quite the opposite of his dolt of a predecessor. -

Dolan would be like a fish out of water at full back. Some players can play different positions but I don't believe that Dolan has any of the attributes and certainly not the discipline to play in a defensive role. It's just not going to happen in my view. -

I wouldn't entertain any trialling of players in a competitive game. Last season we had a great run in this competition and brought some money in. To risk that by purposely playing players out of position is complete folly in my book and disrespectful to fans who are going. -

I thought I was a picture of him in the BCD game against Carlisle last week. In fairness the pictures were on the Carlisle website and were predominantly their own players with ours in the background usually. -
He has so much natural ability about him that must be a coaches dream to work with. A small area of improvement for me would be awareness when he is in possession. A few times he has been caught by opponents who have nicked the ball away from him. But hey, the kid is 19 and will undoubtedly improve the more he plays. I know it's brash but after seeing him in the under 21's I predicted he would play for England.

I think Pat Gamble will get a start alongside Scott Wharton with Pickering playing left back. With JRC going off injured on Sunday it could be too risky to start Brittain there. I think Gilsenan will feature too and Gallgher needs game time as does Tronstad who I think will partner Garrett in central midfield. -
It was before my time Tyrone but I remember players from different era's eulogising about him.
-
I didn't realise just how well be disguises some of his passes until JRC mentioned it last week. I paid particular attention to this yesterday live at the game and on a recording of the game when I got home. I noticed a few where he did it and the Watford players just couldn't read his intentions. What a real weapon that is to have in your locker.
-
He was a slow burner initially Gav but now is fundamental to the way Tomasson wants us to play. His attitude rubs off on other players and he doesn't feel sorry for himself when he makes a mistake. He reminds me in so many respects of Jamie Vardy.

I always chuckle to myself when I hear the Dingles singing 'no one likes us'. And then I think is it any f****** wonder.
