They are but I don't like over playing in the wrong areas. The yards further up field is far less riskier. The stream has gone offline now.
-
Now 2-2 after we took a 2-1 lead. Their equaliser was a direct result of over playing at the back.

Are you aware it's a good 20-25 minute walk from the station to Vicarage Road.

Ok Ian. There might be a sting in the tail for this game.

I was surprised to hear the chants yesterday but when we played there in the last game of last season there was a party atmosphere before the game and when they were 3-1 up. After the game their anger was palpable and really intimidating. Perhaps it's a hangover from that but yesterday the chanting became vitriolic with 'Gary Rowett, your football is shit' and 'Rowett, Rowett you're a c***' being clearly heard.

The highlighted sentence reads like it has been written by the club. 1875 is a gun to your head, it's as simple as that. The club now have loyal fans over a barrel by making it one of the two criteria for first phases on away tickets and paying £18 for the privilege. I know loyal fans who spend a bit proportion of their income travelling to away games and Rovers are now squeezing another £18 out of them or they risk not getting tickets for some away games. Swag has talked about the financial situation and pressures in the current climate and he has introduced an extra expenditure on supporters. It is absolutely unnecessary and runs the risk of alienating more supporters, something Swag really doesn't seem to give a toss about. The 10% discount in the shop doesn't apply to Macron products and is only available for a three month period.

I refereed in the Central (or Pontins) League for a time and it was really good standard. All the games were played at the home clubs stadiums and invariably had a mix of experience and youth as you say. The competition was usually quite fierce with players at both ends of the age spectrum looking to prove a point. It was a sad day for football when the powers that be decided to scrap reserve leagues and replace them with restrictive age football.

The new Chelsea centre half, Disasi was shocking today as he was last week. Nearly £40m too.
-
And the Millwall fans really turned on Rowett. I thought Ainsworth would be the first Championship manager to be sacked but I'm hedging my bet now. Once the Millwall fans turn there is a certain inevitability.

Absolute nonsense. Certain aspects of our play has been criticised for sure. But you know what, whisper it but Tomasson himself criticised our inability to deal with long, straight balls.
-
To be perfectly honest I had no intention of joining 1875 because I couldn't envisage a situation where I would need it. I joined the day after the draw was made as I was pretty sure being a member would be one of the criteria for the first phase of sales. Handing over £36 was galling when I'm certain in my own mind it's just preying on my loyalty. Looking on the bright side it's another reason to dislike Waggott even more 🤣🤣

Great point about Rotherham. Again in theory a season ticket holder and 1875 member could miss out because they were on holiday for our only away match so far.
-
Tickets are only available on line. How can that be right? Surely it's discriminatory against anybody who doesn't have access to the relevant technology. As a soon to be OAP I'm not totally confident using it and normally drive to Ewood and buy my tickets in person.
-
If course loyalty should count. In theory somebody could have gone to their first ever away match at Rotherham, be in 1875 and a season ticket holder and be eligible for a ticket whilst a non 1875 season ticket holder who goes to every away game doesn't get one. The 1875 membership is holding a loaded gun to our head and we pay £18 for the privilege. The season before last we had a small allocation for Luton and as well as 1875 and season ticket holder you had to have six away games. Same at Burnley last season when it was two away games for the first phase. Lots of clubs operate a loyalty scheme where you accumulate points for away match attendance. Rovers want to screw an extra £18 out of fans to prioritise allocation.
-
It's actually 1875 members who joined before August 15th. Rovers had an average of over 1000 following them away last season. Surely a fairer system would be to allocate tickets based on the number of away matches you attended. Instead fans have to pay an extra £18 to join 1875 in order to have a chance of a ticket. What price loyalty eh?

Did anybody hear why Wahlstedt wasn't on the bench yesterday..
-
Pickering didn't cover himself in glory for his sending off yesterday but he had to come across from left back position to cover for the nomadic Carter and Hyam. Delap was the player they should have been picking up but, as they did too often yesterday they got caught badly out of position. Hopefully Damien Johnson drags them into the video suite tomorrow and shows them where they should have been.

I always refer to an FA Cup quarter final replay against Millwall a few years ago. The game was awful, one of the worst in living memory and we were one down. Although we were playing pitifully bad there was always a chance we could have nicked an equaliser and force extra time. I was staggered to see so many people leaving from the 85th minute onwards. I really think many do it out of habit.
-
Several of us actually questioned whether Hyam was injured today such was his lack of mobility. It was basic, elementary centre half duties he was failing in.
-
I think it's a situation to me when a footballing brain should kick in. If a striker drops deep his marker shouldn't automatically go with him rather than that he should understand that it could well be a ploy to move him out of position. Once is excusable but today it happened several times and really left us exposed.
-
Pears was out of his penalty area clearing balls covering for Hyam and Carter several times. Far too often they didn't deal with the simple ball over the top. I thought it was a deliberate tactic by Rosenoir to draw our centre halves high up the pitch and knock it over them. There is plenty of work for Tomasson and his staff to do with them two this week. Both were extremely naive.
-
For the second game running Hyam has been poor in my view. He was out muscled by Hugill last week and Delap today. He was 'rolled' by Delap several times today and was drawn out of position a too often leaving Hull to exploit the gaps. Carter too hasn't been at his best which has left us looking vulnerable down the middle.
-
All things considered I thought we were unfortunate to lose particularly after playing for so long with ten men. I really don't think the effort and attitude can be questioned today and the eight shots on target we recorded was the highest for some time I reckon. The sending off and second goals came when our centre halves went awol and we were done by two bread and butter straight long balls. Hyam in particular and Carter have to be better with what I consider to be elementary defending. Gallagher and Ennis were really good when they can on and created quite a bit between them but Gallagher made a great defensive contribution too. It's still disappointing to lose but I think Hull could well be the surprise team of this season and get on the fringes of the playoffs. And undoubtedly our redoubtable chief exec will celebrate our loss which will assist his ambition of treading water 😝😝

Yep - a sceptic might say they were cheating 😉😉
