I meant I "agree" with you it would be a toxic situation if we ended up with another Coyle style appointment. Not I "accept" it and would be happy with it! I think this is pure supposition on your part tbh and also think you're being very generous to Waggott if you're assuming he's shortlisted five or six stellar candidates. For me he's equally likely to recommend a dolloper who's prepared to work with the existing staff to save a bit of money. So to play devil's advocate, if we actually ended up with someone better than the likes of Carvalhal mentioned thus far, would you be prepared to give the owners credit on the basis they must have intervened and inserted someone better? I again "accept" I.e. "agree" you're right to be sceptical as to whether this would actually happen given their track record of appointing managers thus far but I have even less faith that Waggott wouldn't just recommend the cheapest option given his track record in general here.

Don't agree with this at all. That would only be the case if all five or six names on Waggott's shortlist were top names. Plus, we don't know what he is, or isn't, recommending to the owners. Why hasn't he cleared out the coaching staff already? Why has the fate of the existing coaching staff even been flagged up as a potential issue? Is he going to recommend to the owners we go with some desperado who's prepared to work with the existing staff at the expense of better candidates (such as Carvalhal) who aren't? I do however obviously accept though that IF we end up with another Coyle style appointment, it will make things very toxic again. Final point, as for him walking out if an appointment is made he does not approve of - do me a favour. He's never going to walk away from that 300k p.a. job voluntarily (sadly).

Well done Carlos, it is of course a no brainer we need to clear the decks. Having him and his coaching staff come in will hopefully be like hitting the players with a bucket of ice water after 5 and a bit years of Mowbray and Venus and even longer with Lowe. Be a bit harsh on Johnson possibly, Mowbray stitched him up good and proper by bringing him in to the first team picture then making him a very peripheral figure.

Without wishing to be rude who did you successfully tip us up on as I don't recall it. I don't remember anyone coming up with Mowbray before it was announced - probably for very good reason. "Let's have a look at the list of former League 1 managers who jumped from their last role before they were pushed" etc etc.
