Telling he hasn't gone near another managerial job. Knows he's not up to it.

After which he should have been potted. Massively outstayed his welcome after that.

Venkyβs (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas

That seems the most likely outcome. Not because they can't send funds but they refuse to send them under the current restrictions out of principle. As such they need to sell up ASAP or we've had it. Even if they do might already be too late to prevent a long barren period far worse than what we've already witnessed so bare is the cupboard. -
It is a little bit worrying, if you pick Jordan Henderson at this stage you deserve all you get. However, he's been brought in to try and win a tournament. That's all that really matters. He needs to at least reach the semi final to match Southgate. Probably if you're a big Southgate fan you'll be jumping up and down at these irrelevant performances and results. If like me you couldn't stand Southgate you'll be a bit more philosophical about the situation recognising it's only how we do at the World Cup which really counts.

I don't rate Ismael particularly but do we think it's round about now he's starting to realise he's been sold a pup? Probably needs the work in the meantime though until he can find something else. -

It's stating the bleedin' obvious but if you want to be self sufficient you have to speculate a bit on fees to accumulate. We don't seem willing to do the former therefore have no chance of achieving the latter. -

With Mike Brearley at the other end. -
The fact you're a Celtic fan has nothing to do with your feelings of course! I can't believe the amount of sympathy Ange got after scabbing possibly the worst game of football I've ever seen in my life. If it were a boxing match the referee would have stopped it on the basis neither party were making a fist of it. If they'd have lost that debacle, (which could easily have happened) no -one would have been lobbying for him to stay. They were diabolical in the League and Ange showed himself to be tactically inept and inflexible in his approach. I don't particularly like Spurs but from their point of view at least they didn't make the same mistake Man Ure did in keeping Ten Hag on and then having to sack him a couple of months later. And whist not great Ten Hag performed a lot better in the League than Ange.

They'll be a lot more ambitious than we would be with whom they're going after. They've also been linked with Steve Cooper. -

Even worse. Looks like really tacky cheap knock off stuff with a poor version of the Rovers badge ironed on the front. -

Not sure if Jackson has had his knuckles rapped after a brief spell of questioning things but he now seems to be back full square banging the Company drum. A headline this week was "First out of contract Rovers player signs contract extension". Happy days you might have thought. Probably Brittain with whom we've allegedly been in protracted discussions? (No) OK, Dolan, Travis, Tronstad? (No) Actually a lad called Felix Goddard who I must confess I've never heard of. Apparently a 21 year old keeper out on loan at Ebbsfleet United who again Ive never heard of but he must be (at best) 5th choice keeper as he'll be behind Toth, Pears, Michaelowski (sp) and Jack Barrett. At points like this, with headlines like that, Jackson is actively taking the piss out of the fans. -

That's the worry. And if we flog off our few remaining decent players for relative buttons simply to keep the lights on a bit longer, then the gig is up. -

Well, Premier League Ipswich came in for Travis and now ambitious Wrexham so he obviously has something other Clubs value. There never seems to be much interest in Tronstad. If we had to lose one only out of the two I know which one I'd rather lose. Last season imploded right after Travis got injured at Millwall. As others have also commented many times however it wouldn't exactly be a surprise to lose both and Brittain as well so any comparison between the merits of Trav and Tronstad may well turn out to be irrelevant. -

Good point. As myself and others have commented many times already it wouldn't be much of a surprise to see players sold to cover much of the entire Β£4.85m let alone the amount of the guarantee. -

RevidgeBlue replied to Upside Down's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
The Club requested Β£4.85 million for running costs April to June I think, so you'd assume that amount should be being sent over to the Club and they give the Court a lien over c Β£2.4m worth of funds at the Bank etc. As regards transfer funding it has been suggested in the past that the Court will only authorise money for expenditure on running costs not transfer fees although I don't think I've seen any official confirmation of this anywhere. As for the thought of Travis being sold to Wrexham to cover costs irrespective of their upward trajectory - good grief. Uncle Jack must be spinning even faster than normal. Just thinking aloud, if Tronstad is as good as everyone apart from me reckons wouldn't it just be easier to sell him for a higher fee than Travis if money is that tight? He's half the player Travis is as well. -

If you recall during that train wreck of an interview RG offered forth the ludicrous excuse that it hadn't been possible to hold any talks with anyone because at that point we didn't know what division we were going to be in. Well we know now, but unsurprisingly no raft of extensions -

As the old terrace song went, Oyston ended up "sewing bags". Don't suppose the same fate will befall our owners as a result of the Indian Court proceedings, but you're right, we'll likely end up with a shell of a squad. -

I can never get past the firewall. What did it say then? I'd actually be surprised if we were serious about keeping CB and didn't in reality want to offload him in order to replace him with a cheaper option. -

Well, Platini has just come out in an interview and said at the time France would have built their entire side around Hoddle so that's good enough for me! -

Sorry. Seven is decent imo. Think Hedges has scored seven in four seasons at the Club. That's probably the sort of standard that will be coming in to replace Dolan.

Well, if there was thought there was any free money to be had, Waggott would probably have been in on it. Didn't someone once say the great master plan of him and Fraser Reid was to allow the Riverside to fall into disrepair in the hope it would be condemned and we could then claim a grant towards rebuilding it? This season, we're heading people into it!
