  1. I like to think there was a bit of karma for Coventry today, for the way they cheated us in injury time last season.
  2. I've seen it a dozen times and I can't understand it at all. He actually moves his body away from the ball, when any contact (certainly with his hand or foot) keeps it out of the net. As incompetent as he is, I don't believe it would be intentional. But if it was intentional, he couldn't have done a much better job of it.
  3. I wouldn't take that Wilson bell-end, after his handball and taunting antics against us last season. I'd rather stick Michelski in as number one.
  4. Agreed - and I think Ayari has been unlucky not to start more games. Seems to have a mix of graft and technical ability; pretty much what we expect from JRC. Feels like JE wants to be the players' friend, rather than their boss. And anyone who has managed people at any level knows that doing that is a surefire way to fail.
  5. We were undoubtedly in freefall at the back of JDT's tenure, but I'd still put money on us having a higher points tally right now, had he not walked. We're something like 15-20 games into JE's reign and we're still waiting on that new manager bounce. Oh, and a home win.
  6. As long as Pears isn't in the squad and Szmodics starts, the rest are all interchangeably poor. In fact, no, Markanday and Ayari both looked like they had a bit of fight in them, when they came on - start them.
  7. This is my huge concern. Whatever you think of Mowbray's tenure here, he did a very good job of uniting the club and turning it around from the death spiral it was in, after we went down. Can this current wet lettuce do that? His standards are as high as 'let's just be competitive' at home to Sheffield Weds. We were anything but, in any case. Just accept that he was a gamble that didn't work and get somebody in who knows what they are doing. As for smiling and being all dismissive in his presser...
  8. Agreed. But apparently it's not the manager's fault. The guy who spent all week preparing them for the game, set the tactics and picked the team. The same guy who hasn't managed a single win at home, despite playing some of the poorest teams in the division. The guy is WAY out of his depth and it comes across loud and clear in his pressers. I'd even take Gareth Ainsworth at this stage. At least he gives a shit about the club and would get them playing for the shirt.
  9. And there he is in the post-match, smiling away, saying how great we were but 'goals change games'. I have no more words for this, it's like we're being gaslighted.
  10. Today far outweighs the Leeds win. No effort, nobody willing to take responsibility. And then Pears... Eustace clearly isn't up to the job and needs to go - now - whilst we still have a chance to stay up. If he tries to spin this positively in the post-match, he is beyond deluded.
  11. Eustace has had some of the easiest and winnable games in his tenure and he’s failed miserably. Not a single home win under him. Has to go, in my opinion.
  12. Not content with fucking up the back pass, he then fucks a second time up by stopping it going over the line - when he had plenty of time to do so. This has to be his last game for us.
  13. Anybody want to give Pears a free ride on that one? Absolutely criminal.
  14. Spot on. Wahlstedt does that and people go into meltdown. Pears needs replacing next season or we’ll keep seeing the same errors.
  15. He has been poor today, but he’s been very good for the majority of the season. Does the simple tasks but does them well. He’ll be 2nd in the POTS awards and rightly so.
  16. Hyam definitely at fault, but Pears had time to bring it down, or smash it into row Z. Then he hesitated getting back to goal. Big error. Luckily for them both, Szmodics bailed them out.
  17. JE: ‘the most important thing today is that we’re competitive’. How inspiring. It’s like we’re playing Man City at the Etihad. Bollocks to that, a win and we’re safe. The important thing is that we’re positive and try to win the game. I genuinely cannot fathom the small-time mentality that’s been allowed to creep in since JDT left.
  18. Agree with that - and I think Sigurdsson will make a very decent number 10 (certainly better than left winger).
  19. I never get the 'TV money' argument. If Scottish clubs had the same TV revenue as English clubs, the top players are still not choosing either Rangers or Celtic over the likes of City, United, Liverpool - or even the London clubs. Bit deluded to think otherwise.
  20. It's the lack of ambition that frustrates me as much as anything. We've just spent the best part of 2 years challenging for the top 6 and talking about wanting to go up - yet right now, every point is celebrated by the club, as if staying up in the Championship is an achievement for Blackburn Rovers. This summer is ginormous in shaping how the future of our club looks.
  21. Neither penalty shout was a penalty, not even close. I’d be embarrassed if either was given for Rovers. Fortunately the ref called things fairly evenly in the second half and saw them throwing themselves to the floor at every opportunity.
  22. That’s a sensational result. Full credit to all 👍🏻
  23. Horrible performance, good result (the bit that matters) at HT. The referee seems desperate to give Leeds absolutely anything - expect a second half penalty for them and a red card for us.
  24. You won't get anything on Fernhurst/Oakdale (up Jack Walker Way) for under £200k. I don't think anyone on the estate has any complaints about Rovers being down the road, it's more a case of the roads being blocked due to people abandoning their cars on double yellows / blocking people's drives / things like that.
