  1. A half-eaten Kit Kat has the same GK ability as Pears - he is absolutely horrific and has dropped at least one major clanger in every league game so far this season. Not to mention the shitshow that was last season. I can't stress enough how much we need an actual GK this window.
  2. Happy with the first half, think we've played some tidy stuff in patches - great finish as well. Pears once again showing why he's not a first choice GK at this level, absolutely horrific basic mistake and should have cost us a goal (if not for Sondre's heroics). Think Gueye looks a lot sharper and tidier in this game, so much better than Sam Gallagher.
  3. It's like being a trading club if a trading club only did the selling bit.
  4. I actually think that it's really unprofessional of the club for this kind of information to be leaked to a red-top hack. What we offer a player to stay is confidential, unless the player wants to make it public. Anyway, it was inevitable that SS was leaving this summer, but he leaves on a high (last season and 3 goals in 2 games this, so far). Good luck to him, it's going to be a struggle at Ipswich, but I'm sure he'll open his banking app every week and the weekly 0-5 drubbings they're facing will be soon forgotten. Genuinely hope he does well and earns a move to a bigger club whilst he's still at the peak of his powers.
  5. I've been pretty vocal in being on the fence with JE, based on last season's performances and lack of results/intent in key home games in the run in. But we've looked a different side in the first 2 games so far this season. Nice segments of tidy passing and movement and plenty of attacking intent. Still a lot of work to do at the back end of the pitch (set pieces / binning off Pears), but he deserves credit for how we've started the first couple of games of the season.
  6. Really impressed with Bucko tonight, thought he was excellent and central to everything we did. Everyone played well tonight, pleased to see Vale score and Duru get 45. 10 goals in 2 games, complete credit where it's due - let's hope we can build a bit of momentum...
  7. Duru on for the 2nd half, happy with that.
  8. I wouldn't mind taking my little lad to this one - is it pay on the gate? Can't see to buy tickets online for some reason.
  9. Nah, he was quite specific about supporting Liverpool - I'm sure it was Big Sam's podcast, but he's been on a couple at the back end of last season. I'll find it when I get a minute.
  10. When I get a minute, I'll try and dig out the episode - he makes a big point of it, with his Dad being against it when he was a youngster.
  11. He doesn't and doesn't know where this comes from - listen to his episode of No Tippy Tappy Football. Szmodics is a lifelong Liverpool supporter.
  12. Szmodics is actually a lifelong Liverpool supporter - he said this himself on Big Sam's podcast recently. So, technically, being based in Cheshire/Manchester is considerably closer for following his team than anywhere in Cockneyland.
  13. A first home win for Eustace.
  14. Aside from that one good save, Pears has been the big negative in this game - he's conceded 2 and very lucky not to have conceded more. GK is a HUGE priority for the rest of the window now.
  15. Nice cross from Brittain, great movement from SS. Game over.
  16. He can look forward to receiving his Peter Jack...oh. Anyway, Pears hasn't dropped his clanger yet, Hyam has been really good, Trav good and Gueye impressive. Dolan took his goal well and Hedges looks fine down the left. I'd suggest we need to replace JRC down the right, either with Ohashi or Markanday and we should kick on the in 2nd half. Pleasantly surprised with the patches of quick tempo passing and movement, enjoyed most of that first half.
  17. Impressed with our first 30 or so minutes. Moving the ball sharply, some nice movement and Gueye looks an upgrade on Gallagher. Yes, Derby are shite, but I'm happy with this so far. Looks a decent turnout also.
  18. Agree with this and the jury is very much still out on JE. However, what worries me more is what shambles will follow him, now we're back in the hands of people who thought that Duncan Ferguson and Owen Coyle were the best men for the job at those respective times. We have no Broughton to pull a JDT out of his arse anymore.
  19. Ohashi was a free transfer and I can't believe that we spent £1.8m on Gueye.
  20. ...what did he try to accuse your mum of? I should have known better to get mildly excited about the idea of even a semi competent GK being brought in to replace Calamity Pears. De Lange was never in any danger of happening in reality, was it?
  21. Embarrassing, yes. Surprised? Absolutely not. This is modern-day Rovers, run by people who just don't care any more.
