  1. And for anyone interested, an Independent (article) view : Potential Leeds rescuers shun the group's shares. Oh dear what a shame never mind.
  2. Hardly knee-jerk dear boy. I've been saying or months that Souness is past his sell-by date and events are proving me right. jim the sage eh?? The same jim who was saying 'sell Duff now, we won't get a better offer' about 18 months ago, when we'd probably have got 7 or 8 million (no I can't be bothered digging the thread out). Keep saying it for long enough and it'll come true. Personally, hope you have to keep saying 'sack Souness' or 'GS should resign' for another couple of years at least, jim.
  3. Philipl, another magnificent post bringing the incomprehensible world of admininstration etc to a level where us mere mortals can understand it! Thanks. Might change career to become a liquidation specialist now, it must be easy.
  4. Comments from our savvy members please.............. If they go into admin, is automatic relegation forced on em? I doubt it, but it would be nice(!) and mean there are only 2 other places to 'fight' for. If it's not automatic but they have to sell most of their assets (players), relegation is just about assured, so again just 2 relegation spots left. I don't see a downside to this, and doubt Wolves, Leicester, Villa etc fans will either. Apols, thinking aloud and as I typed. Living in W Yorks, just one less local game to go to.
  5. pg - great minds and all that. I was watching telly last night, saw Venables and (whilst I wouldn't want him anywhere near Rovers), thought much the same - would an experienced 'helper' alongside GS be of any use. Came to the conclusion that I doubt GS would put up with anyone alongside him though!
  6. Aaaaaaaaaaargh, is the suicide rate round ere not high enough already?
  7. Hope you're feeling a tad calmer today Tris. Yep the ref was bleedin awful (can we get the ref who we had at Celtic for the rest of the season please?) and most of the team were missing in action. Notable exception - Brad. Better than OK - Tugay and Yorke, then the way I saw things Cole started working and chasing once Tugay got sent off. But give Soton a bit of credit - they were far from brilliant, but closed us down every time a Rovers player got the ball. It was only Tugay who showed touches of skill to buy a bit of time. Agree (mostly) about Dunny - if GS didn't know before, there's not much doubt now that he can't play the Flitcroft role. Yep, Rovers were lucky to get a point, but how many times have we had a point or two snatched away in the last few mins?
  8. Pete, I think Paul's view is pretty near the mark. Not going to claim I reflect the views of the majority on here : I've always thought the tie'll be close and away goals may well decide it. We'll see. And not scoring for two games - not too concerned, we've only conceded one in two games.
  9. Just heard on the radio that Glasgae is fog bound tonight and the forecast is much the same for tomorrow!! Now who'd have predicted that!
  10. Not looking good. Think the target has to be the home leg vs Celtic, maybe with a 'warm up' at Southampton.
  11. Congrats Jordan. I might try some of those ideas I sent you via Messenger for myself now!
