  1. Bit of land of hope and glory, Jerusalem, I vow to thee my country. Just the ticket.
  2. If there’s one good thing at least won another penalty shootout. Next time we have one we’re going in on 2 consecutive wins. So hopefully all the media chat won’t be well lads getting ready to fail on pens.
  3. We’ll gradually be conditioned not to celebrate goals for the mandatory check. Then if allowed the moments gone.
  4. Also for things like hand ball if they review in slow motion it’s a totally different animal and distorts the reality of the situation. Tried it. It’s failed. Move on.
  5. I always thought I it was a necessary thing just to get the decisions right. But when the decisions are borderline and the faffing about it’s makes the game much worse.
  6. Like in rugby union this’ll turn into the question is there any reason whatsoever we can disallow the England goal. Happy to go back half an hour if necessary. Opposition won’t get checked.
  7. Yeah I love the old stuff. “On a pitch barely fit for play rovers take one hell of a beating”. Also like not one of 55,000 home fans thought they would lose. Funny they thought the same in 2002
  8. This is true but the wedding is in Exeter and there’s no trains, no flights and after a skin full don’t fancy driving 7-8 hours and 450 miles to Glasgow. Technically could make it but would be a mission of endurance than enjoyment. No doubt if the game was Exeter away I’d be at a wedding in Glasgow.
  9. Ha. Give me that barrel of tits any day. The thing that irritates me the most about waggott propaganda is I foolishly take him at his word. I would much prefer him say look we’re Blackburn Rovers not Barcelona, we’re £150 million in debt we need to cut our cloth accordingly and if that means signing has beens the wrong side of 35 like downing and Whelan then that’s our reality. If during our search we unearth an 18 year old Lionel messi then we’ll sign him. Where he would no doubt watch Elliott Bennett for a season from the bench.
  10. We’re like a young lad on the pull. Starts the night with lofty designs on drop dead gorgeous girls. But finishes the hunt at 2am in the kebab shop with some rotter. Which is fine but don’t bang on about the stunners when we all know it’s an anything will do job
  11. Ive not been paying complete attention to the transfer market but am I right in thinking a few weeks ago we were looking at young players who could add value with a team of people scouting Europe for gems. Now we’re after washed up championship campaigners. That seems to be something of a 180 degree turn.
  12. I just bloody knew it. Sod’s law had this fixture weekend decided for me before the regular season had even finished.
  13. I quite like Henry Winter (well I think he criticised kean) but has he been sniffing paint. Perhaps fans are booing the oppositions key player to try and put him off his game rather than weighing up charitable contributions. You’d think this was his first football game ever. Where does he think he is the all England lawn tennis and croquet club.
  14. The whole thing stinks. Another annoying thing is when the England test side tour abroad with the exception of Australia it’s takes forever for the overseas cricket boards to release venues/dates. In fact New Zealand still haven’t done so for test series in October/November this year. It’s as though they don’t think people have to plan such trips. Anyway, once dates are decided they’re not announced by the foreign cricket boards themselves, they’re not announced by the ecb, they’re not announced by even the icc. Nope. They’re announced by tour companies like Barmy travel, gullivers travel, howzat travel, etc. So they are told first (no doubt in exchange for a brown envelope) just to give them enough time to block book hotels and flights making it twice the price for independent travellers. Albeit still cheaper than their rip off prices.
  15. Another “sold out” game that’s clearly not sold out. Is it a case of the touts buying up all the tickets and making so much profit per ticket doesn’t matter if loads get unsold. At old Trafford all 6 games have sold out the general allocation. So it will be interesting to see if there’s swathes of empty seats.
  16. Career in tatters there. When Ruiz is jumping up and down that belly is like a lava lamp. It's the fact he's a fat knacker makes a complete mockery of AJ's immaculate physique. Diet/fitness regime vs pie, chips and peas. He’s no butterbean but it’s not often you see a fighter with a beer back either.
  17. Well well well. What’s gone on here then.
  18. And they’d still give it back for one of these:
  19. What a crap game!!!!!!! I’m sure the world is watching and thinking the Premier league must be the greatest league in the world. In terms of big occasion games struggling to think of much worse than this. I recall ac Milan vs Juventus at old Trafford was awful. Italy vs Brazil in 94. But at least Italy and Italian sides had a culture of not conceding at the cost of everything else so prepared yourself going in.
  20. Kane's a strange player. Never seems to do anything other than score. If he doesn’t score might as well play me. Still phenomenal scoring record.
  21. All these without tickets being charged 5k and she runs on after 10 minutes. And she’s still not missed anything decent.
  22. Spurs fans will no doubt be unbearable but thankfully don’t see many outside the Home Counties. So in Lancs sheltered by it somewhat. But if Liverpool win not only will their fans who attend games be 1000x worse than spurs fans but worse still the Liverpool fans in every town, city and village across the uk who couldn’t point to Anfield on a map will be truly intolerable.
  23. Danny Murphy on sky sports news talking about the champions league final. ?
  24. Starting to lose hope for any interesting or half way decent opposition this summer. If I’ve got it right: Last week in June Austrian training camp Saturday 6th July vs Barrow Sunday 14th July vs Rochdale Wednesday 17th July vs Mansfield Weekend of 20th/21st July free Wednesday 24th July vs Bury Saturday 27th July vs Blackpool Saturday 4th August first game of the season. Suppose there’s a weekend free for someone or turn barrow fixture into a rovers xi game but looks like slim pickins
