I can just about get on board with signing him for the future. Although 4-5 million is steep. But if we fail to sign 1 maybe 2 centre halves and a keeper because there’s nothing left in the kitty then it’s a foolish buy. Think can only judge these signings after business is concluded and can see what we’ve got (or haven’t got).

I still think a genuine grovelling Venky apology for their incompetence, particularly at the start, would go much further to boost season ticket sales than any bus stop poster ever could. Ill will towards the club drove 1000s away. They may never return but to this day as far as I can tell there have been no attempt made by the owners to build bridges.

Still 3 weeks to go but as a defender Mowbray must be having sleepless nights over individual players and the defensive unit he was highly critical of last season.
