He had an awful first 5 mins but I think hes done pretty well since then.
Yep, agreed.
Lanky bugger so should be able to get on the end of some corners.

Is this the worst referring performance we've seen for some time. Terrible.

This ref is ridiculous

Absolutely wonderful stuff from Buckley.

So we're getting absolutely nothing from this ref then.
Nothing.
Ridiculous.

Think it will be embarrassing tonight.
Having seen our midfield, have stuck a tenner on a 5-1 Newcastle win at 33/1.
Think my joy tonight will be derived from our takeaway and a nice wine.
As the great Dave Allen would say "may your God go with you".
Don't think your bet will come in, largely because you've backed us to score! 🙈
The rest is correct though.

All hail the weakest midfield pairing ever to take the field in Rovers shirts.
A Moran and Buckley centre midfield partnership 🫣
Gonna be a long night.
Newcastle name a very strong lineup.

Wouldn't surprise me if Gallagher is rested for this and on the bench.
Telalovic leading the line?

It'll be a brave call to stick Koumetio into the starting 11 when he's only made the bench once and not played a single minute under the new manager.
If he doesn't start Fadz, it'll be either Chrisene or Pickering in the back 3, the other at LWB.

JDT confirmed as the new national team manager for Sweden today.
Good move for him.
Genuinely hope it works out well for him.
He'll have less time to work with players so he'll need to adapt to that but I'm sure he'll do a good job.

I have just checked. Up until the Sheffield Wednesday game in early December we had conceded 26 in 18, an average of 1.44. From then we conceded 27 in 11 (average 2.45) up until Tomasson leaving.
I still get 28 in those first 18 games (undoubtedly I'll have made an error somewhere) but it's irrelevant either way, we were still conceding more goals than the majority of the league,
I dont know if the averages above are in the normal ball park for goals conceded (deffo not the December onwards ones) but we weren't that good defensively (compared to the rest of the league) at best we were below average.

Will be not part of the game
Have you seen any potential timescale he'll be out for? Be a shame to lose him after he only just came back.

Has there been any update on Hedges injury?

Up until the Sheffield Wednesday match in early December we were fine defensively. After that we conceded far too many goals, many of which were from individual mistakes particularly goalkeeper and defenders. Without going over old ground the results fell off a cliff and that is what managers are judged on. But surely up until December you can't have been too unhappy with results.
Nar we weren't. (Assuming the data I'm looking at is correct)
We were 17th (joint with Plymouth) for goals conceded (28), we were propped up heavily by the fact we were the 5th higgest goal scorers by this point (31).
We've been down in the lower echelons for goals conceded for the majority of the season. Clearly the wheels fell off in spectacular fashion from December onwards.
Results were obviously good enough to see us sit 7th at the time but clearly the "outscoring the opposition tactic" wasn't sustainable in the long run.

According to Jackson, that's the first time we've come from a goal behind to get at least a point, at Ewood this season. And it's only the second goal from a set piece we've scored this season.
Jesus wept.

Under JDT, I was quietly confident that we'd do well in this one.
Can't see the same hope under Eustace with the style he employs.
It'll be 1 way traffic and we'll have no chance of holding out for long.
I think we'll be incredibly lucky to lose this by any less than 4-0.

Ends 1-1, a good result in isolation but results around us mean its not so great.

Only 4 points off the bottom 3. Squeaky bum time.

Ashley Barnes on.
We know how this ends.
