Trump supporters US heading for a big win; glad I'm not there If there's one thing the US hates, it's losing at golf. I was at the Belfry on the last day when Christy O'Connor hit his miraculous shot across the water on the 18th. Concorde then flew over as Europe celebrated and a lot of grumpy Americans stomped away from the course 😄

Known unknowns presented as fact in the first sentence. Who knows what would have happened if the Walkers had been unable to sell? It was clearly beyond Venky's means to appoint a "better manager" because they hadn't a clue what they were getting in to. They didn't even adhere to the maxim of "if it ain't broke don't fix it". Allardyce with Venky's money to spend would have been the best scenario of all

Not true Lewandowski in a 2017 interview "I could not fly to Blackburn because of the volcano but I wanted to go there just to see what the club is like because I didn't know back then where I was going because if I travelled there, I would then know which is the best club for me. "Maybe if I went there and saw the club, the stadium and everything, it would have become my first choice".

It's funny how you get a sense of foreboding with certain events in life. Perhaps it's old age or experience from previous bad events but when something doesn't feel right, it usually isn't. The day Rovers sacked Allardyce I knew we'd get relegated and that it was the beginning of the end for us as a Premier League club. My gut feeling that was correct.

Not true. Look at his record at Bolton Allardyce was preparing for us to kick on from being just "survival merchants". He had Lewandowski lined up before a volcanic dust cloud and then Venky's intervened. He was pragmatic for sure, but his record speaks for itself. Getting rid of him was a huge mistake

Yes, Connelly played in the 0-0 v Uruguay and was then dropped. Start of Ramsey's "wingless wonders".

Good job I put IIRC Tyrone. Your memory is better than mine!

Forget the TV commentator nonsense. He will remembered as a brilliant goalscorer Saw Greaves play at Ewood, at Upton Park in his West Ham days and in his final year in non-league for Barnet when he strolled around in midfield Best memory was Rovers' 7-2 thrashing of Spurs at Ewood in the early 1960s, probably the best Rovers performance I've seen Greaves scored both Spurs goals IIRC He took being injured and left out of Alf Ramsey's World Cup-winning team pretty hard, don't think he really recovered

Lots ado about nothing-nothing 2 average sides fight out a dull draw Mid-table it is for another season then, and Tony's pension fund celebrates

Loanees to fill shirts rather than make a difference like Elliott and the Man City lad That's what happens when you're desperate in the final hours of the transfer window

Attendances: A cause for concern

Is that the Allardyce who had Robert Lewandowski lined up before he was stupidly sacked? -

I've never seen any indication that the Issas are Rovers or even football fans Any links? -

How is your back now Tyrone? Injured mine badly about 12 months ago (gardening) and still no better. MRI showed no damage, but steroid injections and painkillers haven't touched it. Can't stand straight properly -

That used to happen in the past - Rovers fans have always been fickle. The problem now is there's so many excuses not to go - including the latest, live feeds - that it's often easier to stay at home than attend. For my part, I've found other things to do with my time since the pandemic, and I'm sure there's many like me. If by some fluke we managed to sustain a place in the top 6 this season I think attendances will improve somewhat, but only to around the 12k mark -

There's also the Covid factor. There's many people who have found other things to do with their time over the past 18 months, which will affect clubs such as Rovers with a smaller fanbase. Couple that with the disappointing results, lack of marquee signings and the general feeling of malaise around the club resulting from the training ground sale and the state of the ground, and it's no surprise attendances have slumped. -

Brereton did not play well He gave the ball away more often than not, passed to an opposition player most of the time, got knocked off the ball too easily, still can't play with his back to goal and his first touch is awful Good goal but it came in a sea of mediocrity 4/10 -

Strange game. Hull dominated from start to finish apart from a 15 minute spell when we scored 2 goals If we're honest 7th place flatters us -

Apart from a 15 minute purple patch by Rovers, Hull have dominated this match -

How many times does Brereton either lose the ball or pass to an opposition player? -
