  1. Horrible half so far..... making Posh look good
  2. Posh boys weren't taught how to defend at Eton Soft goal
  3. A header worthy of Fred Pickering
  4. If this match live on Rovers TV or anywhere on t'internet?
  5. The one and only Sir Keith Newton.... October 1969 Sheer class
  6. There's only one for me.... it's stunning in its simplicity and style. The previous V-neck comes second
  7. United boardroom this week... "Pleased to see you Mr Allardyce, let us introduce you to the team.. .. "Your next job is to reply to all the sobbing fans in Surrey."
  8. Solksjaer was always a poor appointment. If he hadn't played for United he would never have been considered. It was a surprising appointment too, because United have always been ruthless in hiring and firing managers and appointing Solskjaer was purely based on sentiment because he was so popular A warning to Rovers not to down the Johnson/Ainsworth route.
  9. Nothing result and drab performance against a lowly team. Not good enough but Tony will be happy.
  10. Good to see the international break has enlivened Mowbray and his players and they're all champing at the bit after not playing for so long..... Do they care?
  11. This is just like the match I attended at QPR a month ago...... absolute rubbish and just a nothingness with players going through the motions
  12. They were anti-semitic for sure, not sure if they racist though, it depends how you define it or whether you consider they're one and the same, but I'm not going down that rabbit hole I agree there's an element of hypocrisy too but it was minor schoolboy twitter stuff and pales in comparison with the racist abuse he received to his face for 15 years or more I just thought it odd you mentioned his "hypocrisy" without first condemning what he suffered - perhaps you'd like to explain?
  13. I take that's a dig at me All I was saying was a poster was very quick to criticise Azeem without mentioning the abuse (which was 10x worse) that he had received. There was no insinuation that poster were racist - you're making that up
  14. Not really. A few bad tweets don't compare to the face to face prejudice he suffered in cricket dressing rooms and on the field over many years
  15. Do you condemn the way he was treated at Yorkshire?
  16. They've been asked to appear before the Commons committee but refused I believe
  17. Martyn Moxon is signed off with "stress" apparently but he is director of cricket and presumably in charge of the Yorkshire players so why is he still in post and not resigned? Rafiq's testimony on Moxon after the death of the player's stillborn son was damning too.
  18. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2021/nov/15/england-spinner-adil-rashid-backs-azeem-rafiq-racism-claims-against-michael-vaughan-cricket
  19. Adil Rashid has already backed up Rafiq's claims about Vaughan
  20. How many Asian members does the club have and are there any Asian people involved in the running of the club? What efforts have the club made to reach out to the local Asian community?
  21. The question was posed back then that East Lancs had declined because it was now in an "Asian area and local cricket and Muslims just don't mix". A quick google showed that the 1st XI and 2nd XIs were overwhelmingly white players. Perhaps Blackburn Asian cricketers who ventured into East Lancs were made to feel unwelcome and didn't feel comfortable - or maybe they were racially abused - or maybe they stayed away because they knew any of those things could happen. I would hope that wasn't the case but if it can happen at Yorkshire CCC it can happen anywhere, and that cricket as a sport has a problem with inclusivity.
  22. This is awful, embarrassing. This isn't international football, or any sort of competitive football. Comparisons to the Greaves era are wrong too.... he never played against any team as poor as this
