  1. People seem to have forgotten how poor Dominic Samuel is. I understand that Gallagher and Brereton are dismal but he comes under that category too.
  2. If they were hurling abuse at him maybe youd have a point. Singing a song specifically about a player being played out of position followed by the singing of his name in support made it quite clear that it was aimed at the managers poor tactics, not at how poor he is as a player.
  3. Totally understood the "why the fucks he on the wing" songs too, notable signs of frustration. (Followed by singing Gallaghers name so not in any way a dig at the player, even if he is crap full stop)
  4. Poor game today again. Bitty, scrappy, qualitt and good chances few and far between. Nyambe although his final ball is poor absolutely terrorised Rafferty and if he is injured and Bennett covers him for a few weeks we are in trouble. Downing very assured on the ball as always, and Armstrong got a goal to boost his numbers and was our only threat albeit cant hold the ball up. Holtby, Lenihan, Travis and Adarabioyo were all ok, Waltons biggest contribution was moving a board that had blown on the pitch, was a good hit for the goal but down the middle. Johnson I thought wasnt too bad either, nothing special. 2 weakest players predictably were Bell and Gallagher. Bell is a shocking footballer, dithering, brainless, reluctant, technically poor. Why would you play Gallagher wide when you have Chapman and Rothwell on the bench? Hes bad enough up front, we may aswell have had a man less.
  5. Potentially one poor player off the books. Bennett, Bell, Leutwiler, Gallagher and Brereton next please.
  6. If that shit today is 2 top half teams going at it then it doesnt show the league in the best light!
  7. Being told they are crap ie someone correctly pointing out a players poor performances on an internet messageboard? The fans want him to succeed as you can see by the reaction v Bolton but hes miles away. I think players need to have the mental strength to deal with moans and groans occasionally but on a messageboard its free reign and lets not beat around thr bush, he looks shocking and out of place every time.
  8. Agreed. Would love him to start in the 10 position and get a run there.
  9. Buckley is with the reserves tonight so presumably wont be involved tomorrow which is for the best I would suggest. No Davenport, Rankin Costello, Chapman, Samuel or Brereton.
  10. The initial quote is about Armstrong, for whom regular goals is an expectation out of hope at the moment IMO. But found it interesting that he was quoted as saying he wants a new goalscorer.
  11. Mowbray has said and infered repeatedly that we dont have much, we dont have a warchest, that we cant replace Dack, he has spunked all the money away on shit. That being said, I am at least glad that he is prioritising improving the attack as mentioned above but I have no faith that he can do it to be honest. How could anyone?
  12. “I hope he can (become a regular source of goals), and I hope we can also add a goalscorer to our squad as well." Mowbray has said this today, I am glad that we are prioritising the improvement of our impotent Dack-less attack. Saying that, its embarassing that we are going to do it with no money after his 2 major previous attempts at doing this have led to us having 2 woeful strikers!
  13. Central midfield is the priority!
  14. That is speculative at best, suggesting that he has mental health issues. Let him use the facilities if need be, but dont pay him for it.
  15. I was just pointing out that historically, being an academy graduate does not protect a player from justified criticism. I dont think hes been our best player but to be honest its been an average season with our team regularly changing. Lenihan, Travis, Downing and Dack would be the 4 stand outs. Adarabioyo, Evans and Nyambe have also had good spells but have also spent time on the sidelines. Up until very recently Armstrong was justifiably criticised and people wanted him dropped.
  16. He was, but he has done absolutely nothing for the club and was (justifiably) paid for 18 months. (well 24 if you take into account the 6 months when he was fit but rarely played as he wasnt up to it) Unles there is a legal obligaton, as a club quite clearly with no money to play around with, it is very difficult to justify giving a pity 6 month contract to a player full stop, never mind one that has never done anything to warrant such a gesture when we are skint.
  17. Jason Lowe came through the youth team and got (deserved) untold stick. Buckley has been (fairly) lambasted for being nowhere near up to it yet and he came through the youth team. So I dont think players get leeway just for being home grown at all. I dont think he us the type of player who can dictate the tempo of a game but it is interesting to note that his passing success rate is 84.5% which is the best out of anyone in our squad. Hes definitely been one of our better players this season. Ahead of Armstrong easily.
  18. None of them "exciting" players have done anything for us in fairness. Chapman hasnt started a game, Rothwell flatters to deceive and Holtby is the best of the 3 but there are still question marks about him. Johnson and Davenport have not met expectactions so cannot be used to defend his record either.
  19. He keeps getting played out of position, thats the problem. Hopefully Bennett wont be able to play.
  20. Its not about bulking up necessarily, its their brain that is the biggest problem. Graham isnt massive but he knows how to use his body to hold the ball up. Gallagher and Brereton dont have the footballing intelligence no matter how big they got.
  21. We are one of the 7 teams with prices sometimes above the Premier League cap.
  22. “Nyambe coming back could give us the option of moving Bennett further forward and moving the midfield around a bit." Or just dont play him at all because he isnt good enough!
  23. Hes quite keen to stress that we cant afford another "game changer." Depressing read really. We will trudge on without one.
  24. He should. Bet he plays Gallagher and if at all possible Bennett. Bell probably too if Downing is in midfield.
  25. We need them all starting. Especially Graham. Walton Nyambe Lenihan Adarabioyo Williams Evans Travis Armstrong Holtby Downing Graham
