Like you say though similar to Beckham so hopefully lots of quality crosses, you don't need to run to the corner flag to do those. He is nothing like Duff i'll grant you that but if anything his crossing is supposed to be better so it's swings and roundabouts. -

Can I ask you where you get the idea that De Pedro will play narrow. His asset is his crosses so I would think that whilst he is unlikely to go bombing down the wing he will put a decent supply in and that is what a wide man is for. -

No Tom. I'd rather the club wanted to be successful in as many competitions as possible and say so. How do you propose we do this Den as i'm getting a bit tired of all the negativity this close to the season. Have you got a secret fortune stashed away, Has Revidge, or anyone else for that matter. If the club don't have money to spend we have to do what we can to stay in this league, yes that's right stay in this league. I hope we finish at least top half as Souness surely does. You find me one quote where he says survival is our only aim this year? What's that you can't but you'll pick up on one minor part part of a quite about Yorke. How can we compete with Birmingham & Middlesbrough without money? Would you really prefer us to gamble a few million that we don't have and go the way of Bradford? I know what it will cost us if we go out of the league but we've got to make do with what we have a la BFS and band of mercenaries. Surely Bolton are our rivals, similar size club and fanbase. Have they spent more than us? -

Well I think a few people are looking for excuses and finding them anywhere they can. -
Robson & Venables not good enough for England? You're having a laugh aren't you. Just because that pack of sewer rats that you count as former colleagues hounded them out of the job doesn't mean they weren't good enough. In most other countries they would have been lauded for their achievements. Sadly our gutter press can do nothing other than knock stab in the back and then kick them when they are down.

Yes but you are missing the point that we have had some good cup wins and some bad performances however to suggest that Souness wants to lose is rubbish. How many lower division teams have we lost to under Souness? We were abject last year away to Birmingham but that's one game. The year before we went and stuffed Villa on their own patch. I can remember us losing to a lower division Charlton at home under KK and what about the defeat to Stockport that did for Harford. Nearly every premiership team will rest players in the cups because of necessity. Whilst I agree that Souness could word his comments on the cups better. Anyone who honestly thinks he doesn't send them out to win every game is kidding yourselves. -

There is no problem Neil but sadly some people who probably haven't even seen him seem to have a downer on him. As I said tonight he is not going to set the world alight but playing in front of the back four he will give us real solidity. Nice to see Yorke pay well again even if it was only a friendly. -
The FA are apparently happy with Palios as he didn't mislead them over his affair, so presumably they didn't go two's up or they wouldn't have issued the denial. Rev, I can't find the quotes but the Fiver has had quite a few taking the mickey out of Powell changing his stance, mainly because of how vehemently opposed he was but also because of the crass arguments used.
-
Actually no he hasn't. Jeff Powell was anti-Sven when he was appointed on the basis that he wasn't English. He came out with the comment that what can this country of skiers who spend half their time in darkness teach us about football. Typical Daily Mail really. However when Sven got some good results he changed and seemed to forget everything he had previously written. It seems he has now done another u-turn. The FA won't sack Sven because they can't afford to. If, as he says, he hasn't lied about an affair they can't do anything about him. If they want to get rid because of football reasons fair enough but this stuff is just nonsense.

I'm a bit of a novice at the spread betting so feel free to point out my error but if you buy at 48 and we get 47 points you will lose £20. It's obviously a fairly big risk but I think 50 points is achievable so it may be worth a punt. I can't check whilst i'm at work but make sure you have a look around as you could get a better price. Cantor sport & IG sport are two others off the top of my head. Usually they will be the same but if you can get an extra point it's worth it. cheers

Now I can confirm that I was drunk but I must have been much worse as I didn't even realise that Tris was there.

Stead said he was hoping to get the no9 shirt.

On that picture why is the gurning fool sticking his pass in the slot when it specifically tells you that you don't have to? I'm sure it will work both ways but I can see the already confused having even more worries. -

We were always playing Bohemians Prague. I'm not sure if there is a cup to win as such as we are supposed to be playing first followed by Brum v Ulm. I think that the Rovers and Brum wanted to avoid each other so the fixtures were set as those. -

Few more pictures and you can see the away kit on this one. link cheers -
Not really and certainly not for a friendly. The ref looked like some young kid trying to make a name for himself. De Pedro caught one of their players but it wasn't even a booking, he seemed to protest and so he sent him off and also booked Ferguson for protesting. Very strange really.
-
Tugay just has some cuts on his nose and presumably elsewhere. Managed to play last night so can't be that bad but he was obviously very lucky.
-
Different ref, the one for the final game honestly looked about 20 years old.
-
A few more here but they are so far away that they are pretty much pointless. link
-
Here are some pics from last night link None with the away kit i'm afraid although i'm sure it won't be long before someone puts some up. cheers
-
Wait till you see the away kit. It looked awesome last night.

Souness was fairly annoyed about the fan who rang the radio by all accounts. Would say that Souness was out of order but for the fact that the fan in question knew the name wasn;t for public consumption. He was also privvy to the info as he is in the press section so really is abusing his privelege by ringing the radio. The fact that he named himself, dedicated fan or not, shows his motives for doing this IMO. -
