  1. Ossydave, sadly that sums it up much better than any of the 'excuses' that i've heard elsewhere for why people haven't renewed/don't come.
  2. Seems you were right about the info or lack of it and vice versa at brum. Not particularly happy on here as can be expected when they are being charged £700 and were told to expect the likes of Kaiserslautern or Munich 1860. Rovers do get a bit of stick but at least we weren't led up the garden path and ripped off like some of these seem to have been.
  3. Nice one Ste from what I can work out Reutlingen are a 3rd division side and Ulm a 4th division side. God knows what standard the Albanian national team are, didn't England play them the other year? Should be fun anyway.
  4. Well I can honestly say that I enjoy this board as much if not more than I ever have. THe standards on this board are much higher than many other's and to compare it to the official one, with all respect to Lee, is just silly. There's always going to be a few problems but it is simply not even a blip on the radar compared to some boards. People really need to lighten up a bit and enjoy it more. I get annoyed with some of the daft stuff but I just skip it if I have to. I have met tons of people of this board now and I wouldn't have done that if it wasn't for the friendly banter that takes place. Taking away the quote facility is just daft as how could you respond to a post a few pages back for instance. I try and make an effort not to overquote and so should others but to take it away would be pointless. What is the point of a message board without debate. I really hope any changes are minimal as I really do think the standards have not dropped at all and I for one fear that many decent posters would be scared off by any over the top measures.
  5. You may well be faaaaaaar from 'a' juvenile, but some of your posts would certainly back up the view that you are certainly very juvenile. I'll leave it at that as I have no real wish to have a go at you. If you truly believe some of the stuff you are posting then that is sad but if you are just trying to make a name then i'd say don't bother.
  6. Does that not make you a peasant then? oooooooooh Chris you bitch! Couldn't resist that one.
  7. Does that not make you a peasant then?
  8. Nooooo, stop coming out with that daft talk, I don't believe it! He's obviously rated by the board, so unless last season was an ominous sign of things to come (and I'm you believe it was), then Souness will remain in the job. And you'll continue to whinge and whine. To no effect. And maybe throw in a few insults about "glory-hunting supporters who don't even live in Blackburn going back to support Man Utd and Liverpoo". you asked for this bri,go to all posts by a nember in your profile. april 10 2004,17.40. on page 18. your quote starts SOUNESS HAS TO GO,I CAN'T SEE ANY OTHER OUTCOME -------- Sorry Waggy but after your last few posts there is clearly no one more stupid than you.
  9. Yes but you have also just said you have never heard of Joaquin, Reyes, Vicente or Exteberria. If that is true it makes your comments look ridiculous really doesn't it.
  10. I'm talking about with the PPV games. I can think of at least 3 occasions mid season when there was an early kick off and then a 5.35 one as well. I might have been drunk but I'm sure I wasn't that drunk.
  11. Sky showed 2 games more or less most Saturdays last season. Personally I enjoyed the away games when we could get to the pub for 12 watch a match, then watch the Rovers and then back in to watch another match. It's all personal choice but the facts are that Rovers make more money from being on Sky than they lose from the fans that stay away.
  12. According to the LET we could be facing Kaiserslautern in the tournament. Which is nice.
  13. If it had been at the other end and a goal was given you'd have been absolutely furious. These things happen. I wish it'd have been a goal, and think it should have been, but we just have to get on with it. The treatment the ref has got since has been out of order, really. Don't disagree too much with that but what irritates me is this refusal by certain parties to consider the fact that the keeper jumped into Terry. According to them the fact is that Terry's arm was across the keeper and the rest is interpretation. For me other 'facts' are Terry never looks at anything other than the ball. The keeper can't get above Terry but instead jumps into him. The rest is open to interpretation but they are facts and ones which these 'referees' seem keen to ingore.
  14. John it's not a case of the keeper having to much protection. The keeper jumped into Terry not the other way round. You haven't explained why that is a foul.
  15. So if the keeper jumps into somebody who is standing focused on the ball then it is still a free kick? I'll remember to tell our keeper that and he can just jump into one of the opposition players at every corner.
  16. I know i'm repeating myself and for that I apologise but I would ask you once again if success on the field will get the fans on then how do you explain finishing 6th and 2000 not renewing.
  17. Don't disagree with you there Abbey, of course it should be enjoyable and last year at home wasn't. I was fortunate in being able to afford to go to a lot of aways which largely were enjoyable so it was slightly different but I can't dispute that at home it was fairly depressing for long spells. However surely one fairly poor season can't justify losing thousands off the gate when we have frozen what are already the best prices.
  18. And if the quality of service and product wasnt up to the mark, wouldnt you go and spend your money elsewhere. The customer is going to sit at home, if the entertainment isnt up to the standard expected. And as I said earlier if you can honestly say that you treat going to the Rovers in the same way as other entertainment then i'd be amazed. When was the last time you jumped up and down at a film you enjoyed.
  19. The club quite rightly place a lot of emphasis on number of tickets sold. It's what pays the bills and more importantly allows us to compete or not. Attendances last season would suggest differently but obviously that was because the club wasn't entertaining. We didn't even sell out on the 1st day of the season. Direct Debit scheme? What like finishing 6th in the league you mean? Yes that worked didn't the fans flocked in after that. Except 2000 fans decided enough was enough after that disgraceful season. No it doesn't make them any better but both those are a damn site better than someone who doesn't go at all. Let's not beat around the bush with sentimental rubbish of course someone who goes every week is a better fan than someone who doesn't. That's common sense. If I was a customer in any other industry and spent 10 x more than someone else i'd be a better customer, not necessarily a better supporter but a better customer no doubt. At the end of the day that is the crux of it, it's customers that will keep this club in the Premiership, not people sitting at home bitching about the lack of entertainment down at Ewood.
  20. But the whole point is that it is about so much more than that. I go to the Cinema, Concert, etc etc to be entertained. I go to the football to support my team, because it's what I do basically like thousands of others you included. Of course you want to be entertained who doesn't but surely things like that are secondary in the list of reasons why you go.
  21. I thought that but as no-one mentioned it I assumed I was wrong. Thought you might win it then after that bit of luck. Unlucky anyway always harsh to lose like that. As you say Holland were slightly better but when you hit the woodwork twice in extra-time you can count yourself unlucky.
  22. £1000 is a lot but you said it wasn't good value and I'm pointing out that it is for Premiership football. It matters what other clubs charge because it shows that we are getting a good deal.
  23. Try telling that to the Spurs fans who have to pay that just for one season ticket. Of course it's good value as we are one of the cheapest in the league and you choose to sit in one of the most expensive areas. I pay £450 but if cost was an issue i'd just move to a cheaper area. Non-renewal is not an option.
  24. If he's not just trying to be controversial and is genuinely being serious then he is an even bigger idiot than I ever thought. Meier doesn't even merit a mention in the same sentence as Collina. He had an awful game on Thursday even disregarding the 'goal' incident. One free kick he gave against Vassell when the defender jumped on top of him was laughable. All through the game he was poor and the number of bad decisions he made was beyond belief. I suppose all in all the way Winter usually refs then really.
  25. I'd just check with the club as they are pretty ok about things like that. I know you can use a childs season ticket to buy adult away tickets so they are fairly flexible about it.
