  1. Is it not past your bedtime sonny. You don't want to get in trouble for falling asleep in school now do you. When Birmingham win something or even manage to qualify for Europe then feel free to come on gloating. Until then run along and play nicely.
  2. Just wanted to add what a tremendous day I had not even spoiled by the football on offer. Felt worse for wear today but well worth it. Great to meet so many off the board. I won't list everyone for fear of missing someone off suffice to say that everyone I spoke to was very friendly as usual and my head this morning can confirm what a good day it was. Bring on the pre-season friendlies.
  3. What were we singing in the FA Cup? 'Four-Nil and you still don't sing' Exactly, how anyone can slate us when their own fans put in such a pitiful performace is beyond me. As for the question of the loudest this season. Not even top 5 i'm afraid. Portsmouth were tremendous, home and away, Leeds, and United so i'm told which is no surprise. Brum, small time as usual.
  4. Stats can do wonderful things though. Passes that created a goal Tugay 1 Flitty 0. See it's easy isn't it.
  5. Well getting lashed up in Club Tropicana with your squeeze from emmerdale isn't going to help (He was there last night) And who were the apologists who applauded him when he did the half-time draw? "And here to present the draw is an unfit, lazy young man who threw his toys out of the pram and ran away rather than work hard to prove his manager wrong and stay at the club he supposedly loves...........it's David "Who ate all the pies" Dunn" Morons begin applauding!!!!!!!!!!!! Hmmm well that must make me a moron then. Oh well i'll just continue to appreciate the efforts he put in for us.
  6. Typical dinner party , liberal crap talk from C Hitchens . What struck me about this "alleged" incident was that the nig... sorry , coloured person , felt empowered enough to get out of his car and hurl grossly offensive (to some) insults at the two white blokes confident in the knowledge , I suspect , that the colour of his skin would deter him from getting a thoroughly deserved kicking. I wonder if it all would have ended so peacefully if a white bloke would have been the one insulting two blacks ..... Did you honestly read or are you just taking michael. Where do you get your suspicion that the black bloke was confident he wouldn't get a kicking? As for the grossly offensive terms he hurled, how many people have been persecuted for being a 'honky'? The whole point being it's not insulting as there is no stigma, no slur and most importantly no history attached. You know fine well all this but as it doesn't suit you smart-arsed anti-liberal stance then you kindly ignore it. As per usual.
  7. He broke Brown's cheekbone so it probably didn't help.
  8. Manchester Blue, has anyone every told you that you'd make a great Air hostess Not recently no.
  9. Now i'm not sure whether to take that as an insult or a compliment. But I'll take it as a compliment anyway.
  10. Ok Rev look at it this way Pre-return from the Dingledome:- "He's been at Bolton reserves, Charlton reserves and a few months at Ewood. He's only a squad player who means next to nothing to our club." "I couldn't give a toss where Todd goes to be honest. He's off our wage bill for three months which is nice. I think he'll do a good job there." "I`d be more upset if one of our ball boys went to Burnley. As for Todd, good riddance. Certainly was never a Rover." "For what its worth, Todd and Burnley deserve each other. I always felt it was an accute embarassment to have a player with Todd's "record" at Ewood." Now i'm not putting names to quotes as that's not my game, although a couple are corkers. However doesn't it show how fickle football in general can be. My own opinion hasn't changed and I do think it is a shame but no loss. If we get no money I feel it is a mistake but we don't know for definite that he has been released do we.
  11. Just a quick point but Mahon wasn't free, just because the club doens't release the fee doesn't mean they didn't get one. As for the others you will find many clubs in the Premiership have released players for free. It's the way the game has gone. Of all the players listed Curtis has been passed on again for free, Ostenstad is god knows where and we couldn't hope to get a fee for any of the others. When Todd was originally transfer listed nobody wanted him least of all half of this message board. Now all of a sudden he is great and we should be selling him to the highest bidder.
  12. No, he's been told he can leave which is a different thing entirely.
  13. 1) Todd was in the wrong and is arguably not good enough. 2) No relevance whatsoever. 3) Not the first time, won't be the last, one if his less harsh outbursts to be honest but unfortunate that it was the winker that is Poll rather than soemone with a sense of humour. You show me a manager that doesn;t lose his rag with officials and question them and i'll show you an unemployed manager.
  14. Hmmmm can't see him going to Bolton somehow, don't ask me why Honestly don't think he is good enough to be honest. He has done well and proved a few wrong but I've always thought he was just a decent back up and no more.
  15. According to the news tracker on BBC Sport he has been told he can leave. No great shocks after the incident a few weeks ago but a shame. He was never the most gifted player but he certainly gave his all and hopefully he can leave and do ok for himself. Can't see him playing in the premiershp but think he can do a good job at first division.
  16. You are not only extremely sad but you are also a fool.
  17. Ian Wright?!? Hmmmmm a guy once described as the most naturally balanced footballer in the country....cos he has a huge chip on both shoulders! This is the guy on whose chat show every black guest was introduced as 'brother'. Imagine the hoo-haa Colin if Parky reserved that term of endearment for whites only? Ian Wright actually came across very well ...he was asked why is it ok for a black guy to call another black guy nigger ... but not ok for an old white guy to say it... ...he said the word didn't offend him really but the way Ron said it in conjunction with 'lazy' made him sound like an old deep south plantation manager... ..at the end he said he'd still shake hands with Big Ron and he still had a lot of repect for him but he was just gutted (and you could hear it in his voice that he was) that the incident had happened in the first place... Can't see where Wrighty's making gain out of Ron's 'error' there more like he is just a bit disappointed. The ful transcript of what Big Ron said is here. I won't reproduce it but it doesn't make it look and better or understandable.
  18. 2756 is the difference after last weekends games (www.statmail.co.uk) but let's not split hairs .... after all the argument's been done to death, and the fact that B + D has 140,000 residents and Bolton alone has 450,000. Don't tell me they're all there to see Kevin Davies !? Fair enough I didn't bother getting the exact figure as I knew I could rely on you. I don't want to open that particular can of worms. However the point I was making was that in 1 season we have fallen nearly 3000 behind them. People can argue populations all day long but people are finding Bolton a more attractive proposition.
  19. And you're both wrong. Bolton's Carling Cup Semi Final at home, featuring JJ's last home game before jetting off to Tunisia for 4 weeks - and of course all the other Allardyce heroes - drew a pathetic crowd of 16,302 !! And you think an over the hill Brazilian on wages probably twice the next highest paid player will bring them out to the Reebok week in week out ? Fat Sam can sign who he wants, the interview he gave on SSN today shows what a short term operation he's running - the players he's got don't want to stay (unless basically bribed by huge wage hikes) and he's reduced to producing publicity stunts like Jardel and Rivaldo to keep his club on the map and in the news. Much as it pains me to agree with Scotty, Bolton have an average attendance 4,000 higher than us this year. Consider the year before they were about level and I would say that they seem to be doing something right.
  20. Good grief. Whats up Jim? Have you just seen the wicket you`ll be playing on this weekend? AS calls it the nanny state and I call it the cotton wool syndrome. You, yourself have called Londoners names over the years. You racist. Sorry Jim, even though we won`t condone what Ron said, we still won`t bite at a seriously sensationalised story that your sort love. Being from London doesn't make you part of a different race, as much as it may seem that way. Jim hasn't sensationalised anything merely reported the facts. You say you aren't condoning what Ron said but then suggest it is something and nothing. I will repeat in case anyone can't comprehend calling people a nigger is highly insulting and downright disgraceful. At least Ron did the decent thing and resigned, though he probably had little choice.
  21. I don't need to see a re-run as I watched the game on Tueasday. I honestly can't see how anything that Desailly did can have any bearing whatsoever on what 'Big Ron' said. If he had kicked the fella square in the knackers I still wouldn't condone calling him a 'nigger' and never will. It is not acceptable and it is not in any way being politically correct to suggest that it is unacceptable.
