  1. Last night was a terrible result and it really highlighted all of our core issues. We should have been 3 up at half time on the balance of play.

First game I've been able to attend this season (watched all the others on TV) and I was thoroughly impressed with some of our approach play. We can get from a goal kick to creating a goalscoring opportunity so quickly its almost insane it's clear JDTs plan is almost there...we just don't have anyone with that killer instinct.

The 5 - 10 minutes Telalovic was on the pitch was much brighter than any of the other subs that came on and I felt encouraged by his physicality and want to try and run in behind. I would 100% start him in our next game.

  2. I don't doubt the capability of the police in Sheffield to be dog turd. They weren't exactly smart after the QF at Brammall Lane last season either....the road is Rovers fans spilled out on was rammed as they allowed Utd fans to come from their own stands through that area. Any idiot with half a brain would have cordened that road off to home fans until the away contingent had dispersed

Is the club crest embroidered this time? My home Rovers shirt from last season is ruined after the rubber (?) crest started to peel off after going through the washing machine. I can perhaps glue it back on, but I read at least one other poster on here that had the same issue.

Trick is not to use any fabric softener and wash on a cool one

No cos other companies would offer more money meaning it would move away from Sky or BT.

It's currently £30 per month for Sky Sports for myself.

A new customer can get Sky entertainment plus all Sky Sports and Netflix for £43 per month

What about BT sport? Another £25. Then you would currently need Amazon which is another 8.99...and voila! The near £80 cost is upon us.

You don't have to die on every hill, Chaddy. You can just accept the FACT that watching sport in a legitimate way is expensive in this country and turns people to illegitimate means.

but then companies like Sky wouldn't have the amount of Sports coverage which include Football, cricket, golf, F1, plus the amount of amount of excellent tv series or movies they have on their channels so then people wouldn't get to watch them and it would be back to buying boxsets and dvd's again like a few years ago.

Yes they would. It's the same as our season tickets; you make it cheaper and people buy more of it. You might break even or even less on the main product, but make far more on the ancillary income as a consequenc.

If sky did stand alone sports for £20 for everything, I and I'm sure most people would buy it and then you're likely to get other stuff with it.

As it stands I won't pay £50+ a month JUST for sports and be forced to have loads of other shite I don't really want with it.

Interesting article on a few levels. No doubt when the kits are released some will be aghast with the price - doubt it'll be these levels. Guess would be £60 a shirt. And for those criticising our lack of release as yet - seems only half the prem teams have.

It's bollocks that it costs £24 in manufacturing costs. I can get a fake replica delivered directly from China for the £25 that's made in the same factory.

Tha fact is; it's a piss take and the cost of shirts are ridiculous. If they charged a reasonable amount people wouldn't buy fakes. The same as people using dodgy IPTV to watch sky, BT / TNT etc. Cost of the real thing is prohibitive so people turn elsewhere. If sky charged £20 a month for a reliable service everyone in the country would probably pay it.

    Season Ticket Estimate

    Latest: 8,367 (+148)

    Notes:

    • The estimate is based upon the total number of saleable seats to home supporters (18,210), minus the amount of unavailable (sold) seats.
    • (+xx) represents the difference in season ticket sales from the previous estimate (usually 24 hours).
    • 159 seats in block W01 are marked as unavailable (sold), but are not saleable due to being cordoned-off. These are therefore excluded from the season ticket estimate.
    • 376 seats for supporters requiring ground-level font-row access are marked as unavailable (sold), but appear to be block-reserved rather than fully sold. These are therefore excluded from the season ticket estimate.
    • A seat is marked as unavailable for up to 28 minutes when added to the basket. It is not possible to exclude these from the estimate.

Thanks as always The Burg'. Interesting to see a spike like that...

Congratulations…you are the closest…with permission from the source I can reveal that the front of shirt deal is worth £100k apparently.

Recoverite signed up for £250k by way of a benchmark but of course never paid up so…

So if 10k BRFCS members are each prepared to give us £10 we’ll bid for next season’s shirt deal…😉

    What an absolute disgrace.

    Regarding yesrterdays email drop,

I did catch up with Waggott who stated.

"Its very poor and I have raised it with the head of marketing Fraser Read, it negates all the hard work behind the scenes"

How do you keep getting responses? I'm still waiting for my original email from Feb and my one from a couple of weeks ago to get ANY response from Steven.

When my mum was pregnant with my sister she had mate who was going to give birth at the roughly the same time. Her mates pregnancy went on longer than the normal 9 months and when the child was eventually born she was suffering from that horrible condition. She was one of the first recognised cases, if not the first. The poor kid suffered terribly and died quite young. The was in the early 1960’s when the treatment hardly existed.

    That's tragic for all concerned.

Perhaps something could be done amongst Rovers fans as a collective to raise some cash and donate as one so Souness knows its from us?
