  1. Aye, 75 quid a ticket though. Anyone daft enough to pay that will probably be more interested in having a selfie with Waggott than asking him what he’s playing at.
  2. You stand rigidly by your comments and repeat them ad nauseum, but frequently something gives and you end up doing a complete u turn and shouting about something else for dozens of posts a day. You’ve arbitrarily decided that the club need to interview 6 people for a managers job, you’ve even decided who those 6 should be. Presumably because this mirrors your own experiences in your working life you think it’s the best/only way for us to go about appointing someone into a role as high profile as Rovers manager. You then convince yourself that this is absolutely what is happening and get mad when anyone suggests that this might not be the way things actually pan out. You obviously want Farke, so if the decision makers at the club felt the same, why interview 5 other people? It’s not to get them to run through their CV is it? Managers accomplishments or otherwise are pretty public. What would Lee Johnson have to say in his interview to jump to the top of the pile ahead of Farke? That Dingle comment doesn’t come as much of a surprise considering the small minded views you often portray and your completely insular views on everything.
  3. Once again, you seem to have a real problem separating what you want to happen with reality. That Dingle comment makes you look very small minded. Dyche is streets ahead of the vast majority of managers on yours or anyone else’s lists.
  4. Has a 6 man shortlist been mentioned anywhere? Big questions around who would be conducting the interviews - if Venky’s are making the decision on a manager it seems as waste of time anyone being interviewed by Waggott, Cheston or even Pasha. Interviews are a pretty outmoded recruitment tool generally these days, particularly with a job as unique as football management. A two way discussion sharing ideas and expectations is one thing, but a traditional interview process would be laughable really… and so I fully expect Steve Waggott will be reading questions from a sheet like “where do you see yourself in 5 years time” and “what are your strengths and weaknesses”.
  5. An additional stat… when Nyambe has played over 45 minutes we average 1.8 points per game In games where Nyambe plays less than 45 minutes, or not at all, we average 0.9 points per game
  6. I expect Waggott is currently ignoring calls form Rich Sharpe, Andy Bayes and others. He will have nothing to say to them because he will be as in the dark as Mowbray. He’s probably taking calls from the agents of prospective new managers, putting the feelers out and getting a bit of info. He will no doubt listen and talk, maybe even have thoughts in his own mind about what we ought to do. It won’t matter though, it’ll be down to Horner, Honeyman, Sheron and Suhail, maybe another of Jerome’s cronies if they fancy something to do. Waggott will be out in public tomorrow for the end of season awards, so no doubt he will get a light quizzing then… not that he will be able to give any answers.
  7. You’re on form today. Yes, I’d be more than happy with Farke or Ainsworth being Mowbray’s replacement. I’ve advocated both for a while and was certainly doing so while your Chadometer was still pointing firmly towards Mowbray in.
  8. I said it as soon as we moved to a back 5 - it made all 3 of the centre backs look a lot better. Why are you banging on about the Preston game? It was a complete false dawn and an anomaly, and for as good as we were, Preston were equally crap. Making statements about future formations and playing styles with your usual certainty is ridiculous at the present moment. We are set to lose half our squad, manager and coaching staff,
  9. To reflect a bit on the actual game: We defended abysmally throughout, as is usually the case when Nyambe doesn’t play. I’m not sure how many of our centre backs are suited to/currently good enough to play in a back 4 and look far more suited to a 5. Brereton really frustrated. Lost track of how many times he was caught offside, and made some poor and greedy decisions. His raw attributes have served him and us really well this season, but needs to smarten up if he is to get the big move everyone expects. Travis had a melt down during the game and went even further off the boil after. Has some growing up to do. As usual the substitutions turned us into a confused mess. Didn’t really matter, we never got going and were lethargic from the off. Bournemouth were superb off the ball… reminded me a bit of how we were during our good spell this season.
  10. A few stats from this season… When Nyambe is on the pitch we concede a goal on average every 109 minutes. When Nyambe is off the pitch we concede a goal on average every 60 minutes. Goals conceded with Nyambe - 23* Goals conceded without Nyambe - 26 Nyambe has played 62% of total minutes this season *This includes 7 in one game against Fulham In the 21 games where Nyambe has played the full 90 minutes we have taken 38 points. In the other 24 games we have taken 28 points. Clean sheets with Nyambe - 11 Clean sheets without Nyambe - 1
  11. I don’t disagree with your sentiments here Chaddy, unfortunately I think we will be lucky to have a new manager in by the end of June.
  12. Disgraceful today. Glad to see the back of Mowbray, but the real problem remains.
  13. It was extremely difficult for us to drop out of the top 6. We needed a complete disaster and to be the worst team in the entire division for months. That’s exactly what Mowbray delivered. Of course I am hoping for a miracle over the next 2 rounds if fixtures, but the fact we are having to do so is a complete disgrace.
  14. And Mowbray will be delighted!
  15. Despite the huge reservations I have over who they will replace him with, I’ll be glad to see the back of Mowbray. That doesn’t mean that the owners shouldn’t treat him with a little bit of respect and common courtesy. I’m more concerned though about the complete disconnect between the owners and the people they employ, and that’s completely on Venky’s. There is no way this uncertainty hasn’t had an impact on results either. Their arrogance knows no bounds, they will never learn, and ultimately they don’t give a toss.
  16. It hasn’t ever stopped them before.
  17. He can join the queue behind the hundreds of more deserving candidates for a statue.
  18. Looks like Venky’s are back in one of their frequent uninterested phases. Bit of a flicker around new year, but their interest has faded as quickly as our results since then. This has to be seriously demotivating for Mowbray, the man charged with motivating the players. If they had no intention of keeping him they should’ve replaced him by now. Obviously its the Venky way to opt for the penny pinching cheap option, and to ignore problems until they can be bothered.
  19. Presumably everyone who want Stroud removed because of tenuous Bournemouth links can’t be happy that our manager is from, and has absolute adoration for one of our playoff spot rivals! In all seriousness though, let’s not start using the referee excuse before a ball has even been kicked.
  20. I expected Pickering to be the lowest, I thought he looked the weak link again. I thought maybe Travis and Buckley would’ve been the standouts, but The defenders, particularly Lenihan, do see a lot of the ball which allows them to rack up plenty +1s and 2s.
  21. I’m a strange mix of annoyance and hope. Trying to park the annoyance for now because all of a sudden this is a big game. If Cardiff and QPR can do us favours it becomes massive. Players applying themselves in their correct positions and we can get a win.
  22. I think if he was with HSH he’d be a shoo-in. He’d definitely fancy it
  23. Brereton can play in a 2 or wide. Gallagher is completely incapable of playing wide, yet Mowbray has persisted with it despite having about 10 other options there.
  24. Simon Grayson’s pre match talk and post match summarising has been like one long pitch for the Rovers managers job next season. Watch this space.
