Another point on the board and another clean sheet. Cant be bad. How many clean sheets we kept this season now? After a torid time we are now starting to look very strong at the back. Mokoena is also doing an excellent job in the holding position just infront of the back 4. Once again we made a so called ‘big team’ look ordinary. Full credit to the lads for the effort. Unfortunately MGP chose last night as his bad day at the office, but not to worry. Class is permanent.

yeah i saw that last night. Its for the travel down and also the accomodation. Not a bad deal.
-
If you want a room for the friday then Ring Cardiff Ocean Park. Its around 1 1/2 miles from the centre and they still have some double rooms - 0870 197 7050

Ahh i see. Sorry on passing it wquickly i just automatically thought, of the semi final
-
Why on brfcs home page does it say that melbourne rovers are meeting to watch on the saturday. Has it been confirmed that its on then??
-
Neither of the semi's will be moved. If there has been a request of say 50,000 then with the corporate packages etc on top you are looking at 70,000. No way will they move the game. The only suitable stadium would be gold trafford but that is too close to one team and the FA would not allow it. They have a contract with the Welsh FA over the millenium stadium and there is not a chance it will get moved. Simple!

2-1 Rovers

The letter will probably say stop fookin moaning, your in a semi final, now support your team
-
I think cup finals should be done by foreign refs who have not any previous part of the fa cup or league. Collina springs to mind. He would stop the likes of Reyes falling over every 2 minutes
-
Oooooh do we get the lucky dressing room???
-
Do we need to get picked out 1st or 2nd to get the lucky dressing room and stands?
-
Im glad Sky has decided to show it. Saves me £40 as i can watch it in the comfort of my own home, rather than giving the scousers my money
-
Agreed. As is duff. He kept falling over and Collina was constantly telling him to get up. Chelsea were very lucky to get the goal. Barca were class and but for Eto missing a very easy chance by his standards it would of and should of been all over for Chelsea. Ronaldhino showed again why he is world player of the year. He is amazing. The goal he took was class and made Cech look daft.

I pray we get Bellamy and Henri Camara. I would really like to see them 2 together up front -

I would like Rovers to look at bringing in Craig Bellamy or Alan Smith – Smith hasn’t played much for United and he has some very tough competition there. Also Hughes has good links with Ferguson which could help him broker a deal. I would also love someone in the mould of Chris Sutton but not too sure who we could go for on that one.. Id also then like to see us look for a creative midfielder. Some one who has the passing abilities of Tugay, but can also shoot on site of goal and also take free kicks. We also need to look at bringing in a right back to provide competition for the mediocre Lucas Neill. Finally id like to see rovers to make a move for Gabbidon of Cardiff as they are in financial trouble and could agree to a cut price deal. Outs – Jansen, Amoruso, Gray, Short, Tugay or Flitcroft (But only 1 of the midfield should be allowed to leave this summer) -
Neill may of looked ok yesterday but his distribution is poor and he is sometimes a little slow to react to situations of danger.
-
Hughes should rest Dickov for sunday and give him more time to let his injuries cool off. Id like to see Stead and Jemal Johnson given the chance. AS for Emerton being dropped for Reid? Id rather see Emerton Replace neill at right back and play reid on the right wing. The 2 could link up very well
-
Very good result yesterday. And I have to say considering we had lost 2 of our 1st choice midfielders and also our top goal scorer after 15 minutes, we did brilliant. The organisation and determination that Hughes has instilled in the players is there to be seen and we are no longer a push over with a dodgy defence. Nelsen and Mokoena were very good signings in January. I just cant wait for this season to be over and for us to be safe, and then for us to start building our new team in the summer. Things are looking much better for us and I think Mark Hughes has taken his 1st Club management job very well. Special praise yesterday for every single player on the pitch in the red Blackburn rovers shirts. Nelsen, Todd, Mokoena, Reid, Stead….. the list goes on. All the team played yesterday like they were proud to be wearing the badge of Blackburn Rovers FC. Well done lads! Bring on the Scousers!!!

Stats from last night Blackburn Rovers v Burnley Possession 60% - 40% Goals 2 - 1 Shots On Target 5 - 2 Shots Off Target 7 - 2 Blocked Shots 6 - 0 Corners 6 - 4 Fouls Conceded 13 - 17 Offsides 4 - 0 Yellow Cards 1 - 2 Red Cards 0 - 0 Stats taken from opta stats on sky We played crap, we still outplayed burnley - Yet the "gap is closing" hahaha.
-
Utter crap there. We played crap and still won - that tells you alot. The gulf is probably bigger. If under Souness we had faced you and played poor then we would of caved in and lost. Under Hughes we didnt. Once we sign a new striker at the end of the season the gulf will be even greater.
-
Jansen may be equal with Gally or bothroyd but they aint good enough either. Hopefully in summer we will let Bothroyd leave and also not renew jansens contract. Then hopefully get Bellamy and maybe one other. Some one like Henri Camara wouldnt be a bad signing
-
Agree with that. When reid came on last night he helped us to attack much more. I expect us to nick this game. 1-0 or 2-1 to rovers.

MORT - GAMST - PEDERSEN LA LA LA LA LA This lad has really impressed lately. 6 goals in 14 games isnt too bad for a winger either. And how nice of him to celebrate infront of the scum ha ha -
Apparently there were 40 arrests. I saw some minor trouble before the game and also heard that there was some trouble in town before the game

Nothing like leaving things to the last minute is there!
