We should look to the championship - Darren Bent, Blake, Ashton?
-
£2 Million for savage = £15 million saved by not getting relegated. So basically buying him and saving £13 million is good business. Also any extra place we finish up the league is an extra £400,000 Mokoeno, Savage, Spector and 2 others would improve our squad alot and would fill me with alot more confidence.

According to the LET souness spent £52 MILLION in the 4 years at the club. I was shocked when i saw that figure. We only recouped £38 MILLION -

1-0 rovers. Souness sacked by mid feb -
Agreed. He is after battlers yes but that is a temporary measure. He is simply trying to ensure our premiership status. Once he has done that he can look at improving our skill and flair.

Think the Mokoena deal has ended any chance of signing Gabbidon

Try to stay level with the front of the train so you are just infront of the men on the train. Stay as far right as possible also. -
The site hasnt been updated though because the info about everton is still there

Anyone know if we have sold out yet?
-
On Saturday Stead and Gallagher should of both been brought on and given at least 20 minutes to prove themselves. Bothroyd had his worst game for us and Dickov tired. We should of had a penalty and I cant believe that on the Match of the Day it actually said you wont see a more stone wall penalty claim all season. The performance was poor but to be fair we bossed the game and should of won.

Looking at the topic, i think souness will be out by April. There defende is awful and it looks likely he is going to splash £7.5 million on Boumsong. Silly boy!

Apparently not too many left now. I phoned and asked if i would be able to get one on saturday and she said that its very likely they will all be sold by then.

Home game, lost only 2 there this season. I see a win for rovers. 2-1 Stead to score the winner

Pubs - Dont go on middlebrook (Shopping centre at reebok) as you can only get in if your a home fan. Best pub to go to is the greenwood. Its on Chorley old road (just at the top of the road near the reebok). Its only a 5 minute walk and its a huge pub. It also allows both sets of fans and you usually get a good banter in there

[Archived] Is Brad The Solution To Arsenals
Hughesy replied to waggy's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Exactly, with a better defence Brad's weaknesses were seldom exposed. Most of the time he only had to deal with shot stopping. the same weaknesses were there, just not seen as frequently. No he has no confidence with his defence so he sticks to his line. When he had confidence with them and they were pushing up more he came out and closed the players down more. There were times in the season we finished 6th that Friedel was outstanding. Just ask some of the best managers around and they will tell you that. -

Would that be similar to the "brushing aside" we handed out to Bournemouth? That was an unfit, unprepared and unporfessional team that Souness had messed up. Now Hughes has made an impression on the side and i expect us to win -

Hughesy replied to waggy's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
The reason that brad isnt as commanding is because his defence has been crap this season and last. Look how good he was when his defence were doing better. He was classed by many as the best keeper in the league. Arsenal would do aswell going for Cudichini -

Considering our defence has only conceded 1 in the last 3 games, i would look to work with what we have, and add to it, rather than sell the main part of it -

Duff we hads to sell, Dunn been injured and fat for three years Cole was a mistake to sell, but I believe forced out due to the signing of Dickov and Souness intention to play Stead and Dickov together and drop Cole, thus leading to Cole requesting a transfer(just my opinion) had Souness gone before the summer, Cole would be a Blackburn Player and playing upfront with Stead, probably successfully, but we will never know I have to agree that we did the right thing in selling Dunn (Dodgy hamstring and over weight) and with Duff we never had a choice, we made him the offer to stay however he wanted to try it out at the top level. Cole was a mistake because he scores goals and still does that now. He is the type of player we miss upfront and i just hope we can sign someone to start baggin a few more goals for us -

Sell brad and relegation may well loom. To be honest i think Arsenal will look for someone younger. I.e Toldo -
With tickets not going on open sale till next thursday i cant see there being many left by then. I should imagine at least half of them will go between now and thursday. Hopefully another sell out
