[Archived] The Fa Cup 3rd Round Draw
Hughesy replied to Tris's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Easily i think. 3-0 or 3-1 to Rovers. They aint a bad little side but we should be able to brush them aside. Ben - Not sure yet. Its my birthday on the 7th and i was supposed to be going Newcastle for weekend, maybe that will have to be rescheduled to Cardiff. -
Just checked. Lower tier sold out now. Top tier half sold. She said Around 1000 tickets left

It will be interesting to see how many we take? With the ticket prices very low i would hope we can take a decent following. -

-

If we have the oportunity to take alot of tickets then we should and rovers whould do that were they pay for the travel. That way the tickets would go no problem. Its also a way for us to get plenty of rovers fans down there. -
Did Bob not say 2 signings?? Centre Defender and a young right back

56 pages about MGP? Surely this should of been locked by now.

Exactly what i was thinking on saturday. Jay was off as soon as they had control of the ball but by the time our player releases Jay was off side due to our slow reactions, Therefore the ball had to go elsewhere. I think the 1 man (hate myself for saying it) that could have created something on saturday would of been Youri Djorkaeff.

I dont go to the london games much anymore, hence why iv only been 1 away game this season. Was going to go newcastle but told its a waste of money as the players are that far off. I think no matter what games you have been to, unless you are in the away ticket scheme then it should be 1st come, 1st served. When we went Cardiff for the cup final i had been to every away game that season, yet i stilll had to que up for 4 hours

Agreed. It should simply be a case of season ticket holders for 1st week and then general sale after. 1st come, 1st served

[Archived] Crystal Palace 0 Blackburn Rovers 0

2-1 Palace. So far if i have predicted we will win we have lost. So im trying the reverse affect -
Did they check the 2 tickets history or did they just ask and then proceed with your tickets without checking??

Saturday we controlled the game and had alot of possesion. The problem was that Tottenham didnt give us time to play with the ball. It was a case of nocking it around but with very little space to run into. Spurs worked hard and played the counter attack well. I cold help but think that some of Hughes Tactical decisions were wrong. Gallagher and Tugay off? Was it just me or was Tugay one of our better midfielders on the day. Then he decided to play matteo in midfield when he had flitty on the bench. Why?

Well i was planning a weekend in Newcastle as its my birthday on the 7th, but i may have to change my plans for a weekend in Cardiff. As for the crap above about Hughes. You did not have a talented enough squad to be in Portugal. Dont blame Hughes, without him, you would never of beat Italy. I hope we go to wales and Stuff them. I can see us running them ragged. 3-0 Rovers -
Just checked the stats. (Based on league games) Damien Duff 184 games, 28 goals Wilcox 249 games, 31 goals That works out that Duff scored 1 in every 7 games and Wilcox got 1 in every 8 games. Yes that means duff did better on that front but I would like to see how many assists each had.
-
Score goals? Create them? Terrorise defences? Give us something to look forward to? Be worth the price of admission alone? What did he win with the club? Hughesy before you start throwing abuse around read your posts. What did he win --------A Worthington Cup Medal Compared to Wilcox who won a league champions medal. And also enjoyed 2 other top 4 finishes.
-
Well done Hughesy. I better change the history books. Cup Final Team Blackburn:- Friedel; Taylor, Berg (Capt), Johansson, Bjornebye; Gillespie (sub Hignett, 76), Hughes, Dunn, Duff Cole, Jansen (sub Jordi, 73) Subs not used:- Miller; Curtis, Mahon Have a word with the LET photographer as well. Dippy, read my post properly. (It might just be the way i said it) I mean he wasnt in the rovers team, long enough and playing at an excellent level to be classed as our best ever left winger. I didnt mean that he didnt play in the cup final. Obviously he did you Dognut!
-
De Pedro and Pedersen both in the squad
-
Im simply saying that he didnt do enough with the club to be classed as our best ever left winger. Obvioulsy he is going to win as that is all some people seem to be able to remember.
-
Or a worthington cup with Duff! Im sorry but he wasnt in the team, playing excellent, at rovers long enough to say he was the best left winger.
-
Score goals? Create them? Terrorise defences? Give us something to look forward to? Be worth the price of admission alone? Hughesy, how can you justify that? Duff was one of the best players to play for Rovers. When we finished sixth, Duff probably with Friedel was our two best players in that season and the reason why we managed to achieve sixth place. With Wilcox on the left did we not finish 2nd and Win the league??
