If i was Souey id play Amo and Matteo at the centre of defence and Flitty in the middle with Tugs. Emerton on the right and Gresko on the left. Id then play Stead and Dickov ufront. I feel that these players could battle with Arsenal and if we can get stuck in then it may put a bit of wind up Arsenal as they have no Viera or Campbell to battle it out for them. We should go and try solid with no real intention to attack, unless of course its on the break. Get stuck in and try to keep the ball, thats the way to beat Arsenal

Good bunch of support on here then. So no1 expects us to pick anything up so how about we get behind the lads and hope they pull off a shock win. We all know we usually play better against the better teams and Souey has said they are in a mood to spoil Arsenal's party. Also the weather is crap and that wont suit the skills of henry and Reyes. I wouldn’t be surprised if these different selections he has used in the 2 opening games are not just a test to see what his best team would be for the next 3 games. And also to put a smoke screen over our team so the big 3 teams we are about to meet wont know what to expect from us. Just got back from 2 weeks away in malia. On my return I cannot believe we are trying to sign another midfield player. Why? How many midfielders do we want. We need a striker not a midfield player. The problems are obvious. Nissa is not good enough - Put Matteo in Centre Defence. The midfield is un-balanced. Play 2 wingers and 2 centre midfielders. I for 1 however believe we will be fine and give it a few more games before we start to worry.

I Agree that Nissa should be given a chance because I remember when we played at Old Trafford a couple of seasons back and in that game he was outstanding. So he can do its just wether or not he can do it on a weekly basis. But I think if we played him in the defence with amo and matteo just infront then he could learn a lot and grow in confidence a lot.

Great. There is simply more effort needed. Kids are the easy option, they should be targetting them much more. Away kit only just available. Most clubs bring there new kits out 2 weeks before end of the season. Some even play in them for the last couple of games.

So Moore is no longer coming due to terms failing. Oh well, wouldn’t say it’s the end of the world. Never mind eh!!! As for pre season I feel it has gone very well. 6 games, 6 wins and 0 goals conceded. Ok we haven’t played much but I think you will find the camp in Germany helped our players a lot and helped them gain a big fitness level. Dickov for Cole? Well if you go off last season. Cole was mediocre and Dickov managed 12 league goals for a relegated team so not a bad move in my eye. De Pedro – A lot of the rovers players have mentioned how he has a sweet left foot and takes a mean free kick so that could be a good plus and give us much more width and balance. Matteo – Looks a very good addition and to be fair came very very cheap for a player of his calibre. Finally Yorke – Not a bad move by souey. Dropped him, slagged him off and got a reaction, so told the lad to prove his worth so he now intends to. This I feel will work wonders for Yorkes game. So if I was to sum it all up Id say fantastic work Souness. I for 1 am behind you 100%

Rovers really do need to push sales more, simple as that!! They do not do enough in my view to attract more. Yes we have a very attractive price to try and lure people in. How many season ticket holders would you say are not white?? What type of percentage?

There just inst enough places in the team. I for 1 think Amo is Souey’s 1st choice defender in the middle, and Gray deffinatly at left back, but I think the other two places are up for grabs between; Moore, Nissa, Matteo and Neill Midfield I think you will see us play with 2 wingers as he has commented before on the balance Ferguson is a cert in midfield, as is Stead upfront. I think also that with Flitty getting a little pushed out and also Tugay not a guaranteed starter we are going to see Matteo and Tommo battling it out to be in the middle with fergie. So people are saying again they are worried about our fire power again. Same as last season. Same when we signed Stead. But 1 thing always happens. Blackburn Score Goals. Have faith in Souness!

I'm fed up of people saying that. I'm not going to sit in the Blackburn End and just curse the lad for 90 minutes, i'll want him to be on sodding fire and rip the opposition apart. But when you watch him for 15 (i think) games that i managed last year, you begin to realise that the lad is frustrating and very defensive minded. It's difficult to get your mind set on a different style of play if you've been playing the total opposite for god knows how many years. People, please realise this - I WANT BLACKBURN ROVERS TO SUCCEED - If this means dropping weaker players then what is the problem? If Golden Boy Stead stopped scoring for a season and wasn't looking himself people would being to worry and show concern as to why the lads on the bench aren't getting a go at where Stead is failing. Emerton came over here wanting an attacking role. I believe he rejected Newcastle as they wanted him to play right back. Now to play in an attacking role, you have to attack. The guy hasn't been doing his job for some time as noted by people on here and at matches. I don't take happiness from Brett failing to attack. I don't smile when he turns back and i certainly don't enjoy his corner taking when he hits the first man. It was his 1st season in another country with a different climate and playing style. Trust me! Give him a chance. He has even said himself that he wasn’t as good as he wanted to be last season. Now he has had time to adapt so hopefully we will see a big difference.

Give the lad a chance!

After reading all the reports I get the story that we were ok, however Stockport only had 1, maybe 2 chances. That to me says job well done, as after all souness has stated before. Performance is not important, just the fitness. And if we are managing to limit teams chances then that says to me a job well done. Gally may of looked poor on the left but how many has he now scored in pre season? 5? Most important things about last night were the fitness and the defence, and once again we kept a clean sheet. This fills me with lots of optimism as we all know that Blackburn can usually always score goals.

What I cant understand is how it may of affected our chances of getting any deal for him? He has played and scored for our team so surely we are ahead of any1 else that may be interested. We have actually given him a chance to prove himself so surely we are in pole position. After all we do have an excellent academy and im sure we could improve him.

The beans have been spilled officially. (LET) Rey Volpato of Padova. Apparently Souness now believes that any bid to sign him have now been jeopardised by the fan that spilled the beans.

When cole does go are rovers planning on replacing him? If we dont then I believe it could be a massive mistake in letting him go.
