  1. MGP brigade will be out soon
  2. Isn't jan scottish?
  3. Shut up Andy! Just kidding...no it's part of the board. We express opinion and in return someone has a go, its the way it works. We are united by our support of Rovers, but its also what usually divides us as it is very difficult to agree.
  4. He's good...but worth that much? I'm not sure. I was surprised to see how good his stats were though. Rovers 3-1
  5. Our training complex is second to none as well. We don't have the stadium or fan base of a club like Rangers, but then, Glasgow isn't exactly the prettiest place on earth either.
  6. Accident ? Don't rely on the Daily Mail for your information. Daniel Yorath died while playing football with his father in the garden in 1992. Unknown to everyone, he was suffering from cardiomyopathy, a hereditary disease that causes a thickening of the heart muscle. Daniel, 15, had just signed for Leeds United. Cardiomyopathy is among the biggest single cause of sudden cardiac death among young people. The Yorath tragedy was followed by the deaths of Ian Bell, 16, who had just signed for Hartlepool United, John Marshall, also 16, a junior international who died the day after he signed for Everton, and Jason Erics, 17, a member of the Tottenham Hotspur youth team. More recently, Marc-Vivien Foe, 24, the Manchester City and Cameroon player, died of the condition during a live televised international match in June 2003. Nice one Jim, I mean don't rip them to shreads about it. Aren't you Jim of the tabloids? Not exactly the most reliable things in print are they.
  7. Obviously judging hughes' comments its not savage for hughes.
  8. How many people were at that game 20-25k? I think thats rather sad. Not even 1 pound per person
  9. We're wrong because we tried to buy one of your players? Oh dear...brummie logic.
  10. I don't think we look stupid at all. We've expressed an interest, made bids, they've been rejected, we haven't said anything. Is that us looking stupid? As far as I'm concerned that's normal activity in football and proper conduct, just because Birmingham want to make a big deal about it is only making them look stupid, not us.
  11. I don't really mind Yeading holding it away from their homeground to get more fans. First of all it gives all of their fans the opportunity to see the biggest game of their lives possibly, while also in the modern game where lower league comes are struggling to keep their heads above the financial water I don't see anything wrong with them making more money in that way.
  12. Nice review there Pugger...Thanks for that
  13. Oh dear not a good start for you. Swap savage for Brett Emerton? Have you been taking something up that blue nose of yours? I don't think the club should be interested in a swap deal, our squad is weak enough as it is, unless we are swapping fringe players like douglas or amo. I'm not sure Savage will be on much more here than he is there, I don't think it is that much about money, I just think he wants out and likes working with Hughes and Bowen.
  14. Or Norwich or Villa who are both out as well.
  15. I don't think he was that biased. He's back it up with some evidence that is all factual. Obviously we get to see Ferguson week-in-week-out so of course we think more of him than others and are likely to see the best he can be. However, the respect for Ferguson thoughout the leagues and within our management and players shows how good he really is. I'm sure over the next two seasons he will establish himself amongst the best midfielders in the premiership
  16. He's one of the best midfielders outside the top 5 in my opinion. He and Savage would be the best combination outside of that group, I'm sure most teams in the premiership would have him.
  17. ...its tribal football. I may as well make it up. In fact here we go We are about to sign Henry for 8 million plus Amo...at least according to www.eddiefootball.com
  18. Well I've had the pleasure of travelling from Birmingham to Chester and from Chester to Blackburn a few times as well as Chester to Manchester. I can tell you from experience that the first takes much longer then the second two. They have to sell him now, if not they are simply wasting money on his wages.
  19. On a note, even if we don't sign Savage, at least we've really messed up their team now
  20. Good that you know so much about the opinion of the board and our financial situaiton, would you like to give us a source on that Ferguson comment. I would be surprised if we sold Bazza for anything less than what we bought him for, to be quite frank, I'd be surprised if we sold him full stop.
  21. The nature of those games means that you have to stop anyway. For example in Rugby it can quickly be seen if the ball was touched down while the two teams set up for either a drop out or the conversion. While in tennis, half the time cyclopse, or whatever name youd like to use, doesnt work and they have to turn it off. I myself have played in tournaments where that is used, its more trouble than its worth. I think in football the game would be slowed down too much, we all know there are going to be mistakes, and that is tough to take, but really id rather see the game as I know it, warts and all, then some stop-start computer run affair.
  22. I'm quite happy, terrible decision, but then Spurs are a team that we might be able to catch this season, so as many things that go against them the better.
  23. Still owe us over half of the Dunn money I think, I'm not sure about the rest
  24. More important than the fact that Todd is back in the team, I think we are doing better at the back because 12 games ago I dropped Friedel from my fantasy team. I really regret it now, but great for rovers
