Didn't take you long to mention Coyle again did it? Coyle was a clown 🤡 simple as.

It's down to the players to not make mistakes, mark correctly and catch the ball.

Coyle the clown got Burnley promoted to the PL which is more than any clowns have achieved at Rovers since we were last relegated from the PL!

It's down to JDT not to sign or select players who consistently make mistakes, don't mark correctly or can't catch the ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Players making far too mistakes, players out of form, can't defend simple balls into our box from crosses, set pieces

and that is down to JDT and his 4 stooges!!!

They pick the players, pick the formation, choose a style of play, do the coaching and motivate, or otherwise, the players.  We are a bigger mess than a Coyle Rovers' eleven or a Jim Iley Rovers' eleven and that's saying something!!!

exactly. Plus he has just signed a new contract and if he want to leave or clubs interested why would he sign that new contract. Its non story based on pointless rumours

He signed that new contract because he would have been an idiot not to!

Who would turn down longer term security and a bigger wage!?!?

If a bid for Sammie ticks the box for our owners then he will be out the door irrespective of any new contract.

    It really is that simple.

I will be very pleasantly surprised if he is still with us on 1 Feb.

  4. Always a danger of papering over the cracks.

Give JDT the Huddersfield game, we scrape a win and then what next?

My reading of the situation - JDT's relationship is fractured beyond repair with Waggott and most probably Broughton.  JDT's decision making now reeks of stubbornness  resentment and anger though couched in his affable way.

Think the relationship between JDT and players has also gone.  The fight on the field has gone.

This can only end one way.

IMO, our owners, Waggott and Broughton have made a real pig's ear of this and that is where the blame lies.

I know who I would appoint if GB and SW sack JDT tonight. I know who my first 3 choices would be.

    Please  enlighten us.

Sadly if JDT can't organise a defense then it might be time to let him go. We can't concede this many and yet I haven't seen any attempt to rectify anything.

A sad situation all round but might need to go back to basics here

JDT has four coaches assisting - Remy, Lowe, Benson and Johnson.  Just wtf do they do?  Whatever it is, it clearly isn't working.

    Hyam really looks bad atm.

It feels like the entire squad has downed tools

Think dressing room has been lost.

If imagine whoever was involved in recruitment of this keeper must have massive reputational damage. Horrendous.

You would think our goalkeeping 'expert' coach Ben Benson would have signed-off on this!

I’m losing interest which is a horrendous thing to say but the players really don’t seem to give a shit so that seems to be transpiring!

Think it's been clear for a few matches now - JDT has most likely lost the dressing room.

Jdt needs to go in the summer

JDT needs to go now before his reputation is in absolute tatters.

Haven't a feckin clue just what Remy, Lowe, Benson and Johnson do.  Performances and results suggest, to me, they are all a bunch of tossers who need sacking.

Leo is the worst GK we've ever had. I genuinely can't remember a worse one.

We've had some feckin bad ones but I can't recall one of those 'bad uns' who made a mistake costing at least a goal every match.

The lad needs taking out for his own good before his confidence his shot for ever.

Some rave about Benson our goalie coach - I think he's in his early thirties, a lot younger than some notable goalies still playing - so put the fecker in our team and lets see how it goes.

Astonished there isn't a melt down on here about Sweden almost certainly offering JDT the national job.

And remember he won the title twice with Malmo.

To be honest with the absence of Swedish players coming through (Walstedt and Ayari excepted of course 🤔) the Swedish national team is a bigger opportunity to destroy a reputation than Rovers and even less upside.

So I think it is only 50/50 JDT would take it.

Irrespective of the football, virtually every interview JDT gives, his humanity and intelligence leaves me with a happy smile in stark contrast to his predecessor who was perfectly OK . JDT is totally different class and not only for his Champions League Medals and Danish top leading scorer..

Agree with much of this but really feel JDT is aboard a sinking ship at the moment and it's difficult to see how his reputation doesn't suffer unless he jumps off!  Prospective employers look at the results' board which is at rock bottom at the moment and has been for some little time.

Oh well. Thought you had had shortlist ready to post..Good job you aren't on the recruitment team then.

Feel sure @Mattyblue and others on here have better things to do than research potential recruits for Rovers.

It is not our feckin job.

I am pretty sure we would make a better fist of it than our anonymous bunch of faceless wonders.  For example, take our head of UK scouting Sutton, who the feck is he and what has he ever done in football?  I think there are folk on this MB with more experience and nous to spot a talent than either Sutton or others in our recruitment team.

  11. If true about the Ipswich offer then it would be madness not to sell him for both financial and football reasons.  IF Gallagher stays, I would not be optimistic about us getting half a dozen games out of him and a mere 2 goals.

Given they play in blue, perhaps they should become Ipswich Rovers with Travis, possibly Gallagher and even Sammie (with his strong family connections in the area) heading that way.  Think the reality is that no one is not for sale!

Some of us like to look at overall game, chances created, performance of the players, etc . Now I know you don't I won't discussed them with you. The end!

The only thing that matters is results.

I want Rovers back in the PL ASAP - the rest is irrelevant bullsh1t.

Sadly, IMO, our club is in such a mess, and is riddled with incompetents from ownership through to management from top to bottom, that in my lifetime, the PL seems the impossible dream.

The happy clappers need to smell the coffee and get a grip on reality.

  13. We haven't a prayer on Saturday.

Think we are in for a 3 or 4 goal tonking.

All the time, JDT's reputation is diminishing.  Think someone posted on this MB JDT unsuccessfully applied for the Stoke job and was interviewed.  If correct, think that's indicative of how far his stock has fallen - JDT v Schumacher in the summer wouldn't have been a contest.

In our last set of accounts the three executive directors remuneration totalled £491,033.

That leaves around £10 million unaccounted for (as you’ve said some of this will be GB, JDT etc etc)

You are right with exec. directors' remuneration costing £491k, however, you also need to add on employers' NI at circa 14%, circa £66k taking the total to some £560k.

Cost of Waggott in those accounts to Jun '22 - salary £271k, pension £1k, NI £38k, total £310k!

Tony Mowbray new manager for Birmingham...

That's about 180 miles (3+hours'  journey time) back to his missus' lemon drizzle cake.  Twice the journey from Ewood / Brockhall.

Has Mrs Mowbray lost her touch in the kitchen or was 'being so far away from home' just more Mowbray  bullsh1t!?

No I wouldn't be signing a keeper in this window. When Pears is fit I would put back into the team and I'm fine with that for rest of the season and next.

I would be focusing on signing players we need. For example a striker who can finish the chances we created.

We need a goalie as neither Pears nor Leo are up to it.

On average, I reckon our two goalies have averaged a mistake per game leading to a goal meaning you need to find a striker capable of netting at least a goal per game in order to 'stand still'!  Mission impossible!

If it was up to me, I'd be trying to offload Leo (there was competition for his signature when we signed him), accepting it wasn't working out for either party and use whatever we got to sign another goalie.  If that enabled us to sign Beadle permananently then surely we would be no worse off?!

Isn't there a rule you can only have 2 players on loan from 1 club ?

Think you are right, however, pretty sure Rovers have been having discussions with many clubs about many players and Beadle may well have been a conversation before Ayari was agreed if indeed it was a loan deal they were seeking.
