I have just heard it's Johnson and Lowe in charge tomorrow and that the were called in yesterday to inform them of this.

    God help us.

IMO, we have the 'three tossers' with Lowe, Benson and Johnson and they need feckin firing.

    So do I.

I think Broughton is weak, inefficient and way out off his depth.  IMO, just another with his snout stuck in the gravy trough

Yet again Mercer I have explained how it works. The club secretary and CEO do the paperwork for contracts and transfers. Simple as

Chaddy my friend, ultimate responsibility for ALL football matters resides with Broughton.  He is DOF and therefore responsible for all football operations including transfers / transactions.

If there are breakages in the chain of actions required to complete a transaction then it's his feckin responsibility to fix them.  If he doesn't or can't then he should feck off.  Simple as.

Consecutive January windows where we seem to have fecked up.

You have slagged GB off from minute 1 he joined the club.

This is yet again paperwork error which isn't his job. That's is CEO and club secretary job to sort our all paperwork regarding transfer and contract negotiations

GB is DOF and responsible for all football matters.

If we can't complete deals responsibility rests with him.

It's his feckin job to ensure all the cogs in the wheel are well oiled.  It's that simple.

IMO, a bullsh1tter well and truly out of his depth.

  4. So it it seems Palace have had encouragement from the Wharton family / agent to make a play for Adam and Gallagher is 'frustrated' with Rovers turning down Ipswich bids.

Suggests to me all is far from well in the Ewood dressing room and 'key' players recognise we are going nowhere and want away.  When this happens with a Blackburn born and bred lad like Wharton then alarm bells should be ringing.

  5. It's not unusual with big transfer deals for the pursuing club to first sound out a player through his agent to see if a move to them might be of interest otherwise the whole offer / negotiating process is a waste of time should the player not be interested.  If this has happened here, and I'd be surprised if it hasn't, the Whartons have seemingly not discouraged which is worrying.

As for a Carter move, any news yet when he, or Pickering, will be fit?

  6. I think there will be better opportunities for Wharton.

I'd turn round and say 'I've a new long term contract and going nowhere unless it suits me'.

What a feckin state we are in when seemingly we are hawking our prize asset(s).

No doubt in my mind, the mess we are in is all down to 14 years of gross mismanagement.

We need putting out of our misery.

Not confirmed by 'finger NOT on the pulse' LT's Elliott Jackson, though no surprise there.

Where the feck are the experienced signings JDT wants?

Scores on the doors, in 3 inexperienced youngsters, out our experienced captain.  You couldn't make it up.

Danger of building for tomorrow is tomorrow never arrives!

The Blackburn End and the Darwen End were built with the same number of seats, 5,000 lower and 3,000 upper. I had a conversation with Rob Coar about this at an event in the newly opened Jack Walker Stand. The first and second stadium managers, Mel Highmore and John Newsham, were happy to allocate 8,000 tickets to visitors. Since Caley's had the job he started rolling out netting and no one's been given more than 7,000. Yet the the ground has four separate stands, a policing dream. I had a look last time there was an away sell out. Plenty of empty seats.

Think Caley is yet another Rovers' employee way out of his depth - IMO, a 'yes' man and a 'jobsworth'.

From top to bottom we need forward thinking folk with a 'can do' attitude and not 3rd or 4th raters who are afraid of their own shadows.

    Pathetic really.

How does every other club in this division survive without venkys?

    Take the chicken blinkers off.

    Pathetic!?!?

Feck me - I hate Venky's which should be as plain as day to any regular member of this MB.

All I was trying to point out was getting a new owner, should Venky's decide to walk away and write-off their losses (giving the club away and not an insolvency), might not be as easy as some think as £100millionish would be required to have a real go at it.

Sorry if the financials and implications are over your head.

    Broughton didn't.

Didn't Broughton say he was out in Manchester ensuring O'Brien got some nosh inside him!

Incredible - Broughton should have been at Ewood or Brockhall ensuring all tickety boo as the transfer window rapidly closed in.  Feck me, it's not as though there is a shortage of eateries within a 3 mile radius of Brockhall.

With Waggott at Brum for the match it was clearly amateur hour all round on a huge scale.

This thread is feckin depressing - so we are now after a Belgian nondescript who will probably rival Ennis and Semir in the useless stakes.  Broughton and our recruitment team have much, much to answer for.  Sack the feckin lot of them.

If we had signed Undav and O'Brien in that window we would got playoffs for sure.

We need signings. 4 or 5 minimum. Simple as. I've explained how you could do that.

Why don't you see if you can set up a meeting for yourself with Waggott and Broughton so that you can share your thoughts and plans.

A sale is the best option for all parties concerned however, we know the stagnant pond in which venkys fester so it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see someone else of their ilk.

On the bright side though, buying football clubs is in vogue and what better club to buy than one of only seven premier league winners.

    I just want rid.

Who on earth would want to buy Rovers!?

Even if Venky's gave us away and wrote off their £200millionish losses, any new owners would need £30/40 million for working capital purposes plus, most likely, getting on for £20million to buy back Brockhall (though not sure what the caveats are around Brockhall following its sale).

If someone out there wants to make a real go of it by appointing some quality management from top to bottom and have a 'war chest' for player acquisitions then I would suggest they need getting on for £100million to throw at it.

  13. @chaddyrovers we all know you are mad keen on Rovers and all things Rovers but, frankly, I think some of your postings over the last couple of pages are fantasy Island stuff.

IMO, we are financially goosed and operating in a straitjacket.  We might as well fire the entire recruitment department as I think we would only be able to spend button's even if we sold Sammie, Carter and Gallagher.

Its about bringing players just not for this season but beyond.

If we £5m from that Raya deal. That's gives you £5m to spend which would give you the chance to bring few signings

    For example

    Rajovic for £3m from Watford

    O'Riordan for 500k from Crewe

    Blackett-Taylor for 500k from Charlton

Cresswell on loan to buy in the summer from Leeds

Julian Niehues on a pre contract for next season

Not a chance we will see much of that money.

Rajovic is a cart horse whilst we aren't getting knocked over in the rush for O'Riordan which tells you something.

Mercer, If you disagree fine but I believe we will bring in at least 3. If you don't, fine I ain't bothered tbh.

In the long term yes we need new owners and new CEO. I'm happy with our Footballing management structure and coaching staff. but short term we need new signings. Simple as.

Chaddy, we are bringing in dross - if Crisene and Ayari are the answers then feck me if I know the questions!  The bottom of the barrel has well and truly been scraped away.

IMO, our coaching team are fifth raters - we have no game plan and we are desperately disorganised, it's chaos as evidenced by results and performances.  They need sacking.

As for Broughton and our recruitment team - just what the feck do they do and what gems do they find?

As for medical and fitness, we can't keep players fit and injury free and when they are injured they are out for weeks.  I'd be surprised if we see Carter and Pickering within the next six weeks.

If our football structure had performance reviews, IMO, they would all be feckin sacked.  Judge folk by results and not their bullsh1t - what gets measured gets done!
