  1. Past hour
  2. You want your quality on the pitch as much as possible not just through the door in the building so to speak.
  3. Maybe the rationale is better quality for bargain prices? Risky though
  4. Why are they so intent on signing players with known existing problems ? Never ever underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
  5. Overseas managers and their assistants clueless to anything but the big 4 - and West Ham - being paid absolute fortunes by an FA only interested in 'shirt selling' players and corporate sponsors favourites.
  6. Nixon also said miller was out for two months the man literally makes stuff up and fires enough dung out eventually some of it sticks and then he claims he’s very much in the know
  7. Henriksson is a hard working, physical central midfielder who had a very good season last year. He can look a bit clumsy but is quite quick. He was also the most booked player in the whole league with 12 bookings in 26 matches. This season he has started 7 matches and has 5 bookings. A lot of these bookings are from late tackles. I think the main concern with Henriksson is that he's already had quite a lot of problems with injuries in his career. As previously mentioned, he also has Crohn's disease, which was diagnosed in 2022. Spring 2021 he tore his posterior cruciate ligament in training and missed the rest of the season. Last year he was able to play for most of the season, but this year he had some unspecified hip injury during pre-season and also missed a few matches recently because of a gluteal muscle tear. In an interview in autumn 2023 he said that Crohn's disease has made him more injury prone and that he cannot train as much as his teammates.
  8. Sounds risky. Do the deal and the OP goes tits up, what then?
  9. Yeah I was wondering after posting if you can actually sign them and bring them over without having a ESC spot, would they be allowed to train etc? Maybe like you say, do the deal now, send him for his op and tell him to stay in Switzerland until Jan 1st then maybe we could register him and give him an ESC spot then if someone can be converted by then.
  10. Not sure how Nixon can diagnose the requirement for surgery or quote recovery timescales unless he's VERY close to medical staff at the club. I would have thought surgery is pretty rare, it isn't a serious injury, just an annoyance.
  11. Wouldn’t be allowed to train without ESC slot. Unless plan is for him to recover after surgery and get fit away from the club. But can’t see that happening. Better just to pay mofoumbi off
  12. It will more than likely be our better players on higher wages who are sold to make way πŸ˜‰
  13. Or, if that still falls foul of esc rules, If Rovers really want him, they could just agree a deal in advance to conclude on 1st Jan
  14. Obviously either selling or not registering some of our worse players.
  15. Great shout actually, maybe that is the plan.
  16. Where does that leave us in terms of squad registration if you get your 5 signings you want?
  17. Nixon still pushing that Baradji is signing, we obviously can't sign him and Henriksson due to ESC places.
  18. If Baradji needs surgery and is out for a few months, then he wouldn't have to be registered in the squad if I am right? Or, if that falls foul of esc rules, we could just agree a deal in advance to conclude on 1st Jan By the January window, at least one of Toth & Kargbo should have qualified for a standard work permit, so we will have a free esc slot regardless of what happens with Mafoumbi
  19. One of his biggest assets was winning the ball high in the pitch.
  20. On a side note. Wolfe who just joined Wolves came for Β£12m. He came from Norwegian top flight to AZ Alkmaar in the Netherlands and now signed for Wolves for 10 times more. Also Gyokeres who just joined Arsenal and played for Coventry came from Allsvenskan. Lots of talents have erupted from the scandi leagues.
  21. We have both mentioned similar. Don't think we are looking for a typical "right winger", but someone to help the right back when out of possession, but drift inside to make a second "10" when we have the ball
  22. The pay as you play deal and the stalwart make sense.
  23. Nixon reckons we are still after this guy but would be out for 2 months?
