  1. Past hour
  2. Me too. I wonder what it cost back then ?
  3. I don't understand what the Ipswich game has got to do with them banning the LT.
  4. Same at my local club. If you didn’t get down there an hour before start of play you’d be lucky to get a seat. Becoming a member was really difficult. Ten years later they were begging people to become members.
  5. It didnt seem like his hand was in an unnatural position. But either way, point still stands. Moaning about the EFL, refs, the Lancashire Telegraph, all to deflect from the shit show.
  6. Ideally youd have one left footer and one right footer. But its not ideal to sell our only right footed centre back capable of playing more than 1 match without his body breaking down. We have 2 right backs, and one of them is having to play at centre back, so now the other is injured, the mess we see of a disjojnted defence with players out of position is upon us even earlier than we could have predicted.
  7. You could still have these people but not on the official board for decisions like this about the lack of penalty decision like most people did post match.
  8. We certainly have moved on from the "no excuses" culture we were supposed to be building under Eustace. Yes, it was really bad luck that the game had to be called off. But we just have to move on I think. Yesterday, Ismael was moaning about the referee. There has been an absolute shambles surrounding the Lancashire Telegraph. The club seems keen to deflect blame and make out like everyone is against us. We just need to concentrate on what we can control.
  9. to put forwards points which are of interest to Championship clubs as a whole, i the same way that there are also board members from League 1 & 2 clubs If something is too independent, it risks becoming out of touch with the people/clubs it is meant to serve
  10. so the board is pointless then if it championship why not just have 5 independent people on the board who aren't employ by any club? not think that's a much better way to have a board who are independent and not to league or club. for example Parry as Chairman, Birch as CEO and 3 independent people.
  11. So if we had beaten Ipswich they wouldn’t have banned Jackson?
  12. Can you imagine moving a kick-off time as the crowd would be affected by a local league cricket match! When you look at local league cricket today it's hard to believe the sort of crowds they used to get. I recall being on Rawtenstall's ground and you couldn't get a seat (and that was a ground with a full terrace of seating).
  13. I updated my previous post whilst you were replying with more context
  14. The EFL board is there to best run the EFL. Not having directors connected to league clubs incase the very infrequent issues like this arise would be silly if they are the best people to run the EFL. You could make a point that you don’t want all the directors to be from the same league, which is what they have done. What I do find odd is that Rick Parry, who fought to break away from the Football League and form the Premier League, is now EFL chair !
  15. I would prefer that the remain minutes are play with us 11 men vs Ipswich 10.
  16. They are on the EFL board, not the Championship board They are free to vote on situations which do not directly benefit them
  17. Would you prefer the red card Greaves got to be wrote off as well then ?
  18. so why have them on the board in the first place then? seems very pointless why not just have board with no connection to any clubs in current employment?
  19. The reason that the 3 Championship board members didn't vote, is that there would be an obvious conflict of interest if they did (leaving the EFLs decision open to a legal challenge from whichever team didn't get the result that they wanted) As things stand, nobody who voted gained in any way from the EFLs decision, The only reason that Rovers are questioning this is because the decision went against us. Can you imagine the kafuffle if Ridsdale had voted in favour of this result, Rovers lost the replay and and PNE pipped Rovers to staying up by a point, or if Norwich voted in favour of awarding Rovers the points, and subsequently finished in the play offs above Ipswich? For what it is worth, I feel that the fair result would have been to replay the game from the point it was abandoned/suspended, with as many factors remaining constant as possible (score/number of players, time left to play etc). And I hope that when a new rule is reached, this is what it is. If think it was a "cowardly" and easy decision which they made, however, nobody can accuse the EFLs board members of coming to any decision (regarding the Rovers Ipswich game) because it benefited them personally
  20. This is easy for me to say as I no longer have a season ticket and don’t go to many games atm but the next two games are at home and both will be televised. Perfect opportunity for a boycott. Don’t go to home games until Elliott Jackson is allowed back. I know it won’t happen but still, empty stands on Sky will get us talked about and keep the pressure on
  21. For once Chaddy just wake up and see the bigger picture going on here, your constant happy clapping posts are becoming tiresome.
  22. to answer your question, I guess so. I was in favour of another right footed centre back signing in case of this.
  23. That's exactly what he's doing and although they are very different types of players i'm still yet to see a lot that tells me he is even an actual better footballer than the limited Travis.
