Rover down South
Can anyone list the differences between the current iphone & the 3g version coming out. Any idea what cost will be to buy out of contract? I see the current model is selling for £225 approx on e-bay. Would anyone recommend the iphone? Flopsy
its 3g not GPRS, better download internet speeds, better video calls and you can watch TV on it. When my contract coems to an end I will be sniffing round getting one like a dog on heat.
Hughesy
Nokia N96 looks a better phone - out soon. 5m pixel cam, video, TV, 16GB memory (which should hold about 22,000 songs)

Flopsy
oops getting misguided in my technobabble. Is 3G not a step up from GPRS?
Paul
oops getting misguided in my technobabble. Is 3G not a step up from GPRS? I think, but not certain, GPRS is / was the stepping stone from 2G to 3G though to be honest I've had WAP, GPRS, got 3G right now and all seem about the same. On a mobile you get a reasonable connection speed considering the technology one's using. On a PDA it's very good.
Lee
I misread the question, yes GPRS is sort of a 2.5G
