Hughesy Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Suggest we ALL take the St Geroge's Flag next year... Agreed - lets not forget next time. It would be quality if we could get a massive club one made up and take it down there.
roversmum Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 I have one with Rovers crest on it - will be interested to see what they make of that!
gumboots Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 do'nt forget we are 75% muslim now,its a disgrace to fly a national flag in somebody else's country You obviously didn't bother reading my earlier post. i teach mainly Moslem kids. they were not offended and couldn't understand why anyone would be. Also isn't St George the patron saint of somewhere like Turkey too? Or am I confusing him with someone else?

riverside returns Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Have England played at The Emirates, if so, how did we ever get the shirts passed as all of them have the cross of st george.
B.R.F.C Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 What do Arsenal reckon of the Ivory Coast sweatbands that Emmanuel Eboue wears I wonder?
imy9 Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 do'nt forget we are 75% muslim now,its a disgrace to fly a national flag in somebody else's country huh? How do you link an England flag being viewed as a racist symbol with Muslims? You may be shocked to hear this but most BRITISH Muslims are proud of the flag, a straw poll in my class (90% Muslim), no one thought it was racist and a lot call themselves British- including myself.
