Al
RIP. One of our best actors. Who can forget the Whicker Man?
Ozz
To be fair Al, when I think of The Whicker Man, it's not Woodward I remember most! Sad news though.
mellison24
I'll always remember his contribution to comedy. Interviewer: "Why do you have a name with so many D's in it?" EW: "Because 'Ewar Woowar' would be stupid!'
thenodrog
RIP. One of our best actors. Who can forget the Whicker Man? You Al.... it's 'Wicker man'. Great film. Callan though was fantastic for it's dark and seedy realism. The perfect foil for the more ridiculous 60's spy spoofs like James Bond, Our man Flint, Get smart and the Man from UNCLE etc. Modern medicine has seen that old Ed has had a good innings though. He nearly died a few times from heart problems about 20 years ago... he'd have settled for lasting until 2009 back then.
cletus
The only actor to have a name that sounds like somebody farting in the bath RIP Edward Woodward
American
Huge fan of The Equalizer growing up - taped all of the episodes to re-watch when I was younger, before the age of TV show box sets.
