Iceman Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Dont know if this has been discussed, but Michael Schumacher has come out of retirement. He will race for Brawn Mercedes, alongside Nico Rosberg. Not sure he needs to do this, but it just seems like him wanting to be in the spotlight again. Im a big fan of him, but i think its time to call an end to a great career.

SAS Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 I dont think its anything about being in the limelight, hes made more than enough money in his career, and earns enough off ferrari every year. I think its great for the sport..
cn174 Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Looks like Schumacher is in a worse condition than first reported following his skiing accident. Hope he comes through.
Backroom Tom Posted December 30, 2013 Backroom Posted December 30, 2013 Sounds very bad akin to Liam Neesons wife's death in 2009 Hope he pulls through with no lasting consequence
Backroom DE. Posted December 30, 2013 Backroom Posted December 30, 2013 From what's been reported it sounds like even if he does survive he'll have a long road to recovery. They had to operate immediately to relieve pressure on the brain and that's never good. Fingers crossed he pulls through, I really feel for his lad who apparently saw it happen.
CapeTownRover Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 big fan of his, and doesnt matter what anybody says, for me one of the greatest F1 drivers. Cmon Michael, keep fighting
old darwen blue Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 I echo the above comments. A great driver who knew how to win and was focused in his determination to do so.
Stuart Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Let's hope that determination and will to win continues, odb.
thenodrog Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Let's hope that determination and will to win continues, odb. Sometimes its better not to be so. Only time can tell that though.
CapeTownRover Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 having seen watched most of his F1 career mostly from his Benneton Days onwards, to me Vettel will never come close to him irrespective if he breaks all his records. The changes to F1 in recent years has made the sport unbearable to watch at times, and in no way should Vettel be dominating like this. Back in the day, despite MS dominating as well, you knew there were other drivers who made the race exciting and pushed him all the way. While he more often than not over stepped the mark, and bent a few rules to win, that was pretty fun to watch, because he pushed himself and the rule book to the limit. These days its Vettel on Pole, and then Vettel from start to Finish.
koi Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Skiing, like horse riding and golf is the work of the devil. Hope he makes a full recovery.
