thenodrog Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 anyone around the blackburn/accy area doing the one day without shoes thing? its to bring awareness to the people of the third world who have to live everyday barefoot Am I hell. Not a bloody chance. Anyway I'm sure the people of the third world are already well aware that they have no shoes.
Rover95 Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Am I hell. Not a bloody chance. Anyway I'm sure the people of the third world are already well aware that they have no shoes. Hilarious - made me laugh out loud

Well said Gordon, must admit i have heard absolutely nothing about it and to be honest it sounds a ridiculous idea. (got a feeling that won`t go down well with the Guardianistas! )
broadsword Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 WTF? What a shocka, people in developing countries don't have shoes to wear. Next you'll be telling me they don't get to watch Sky Sports HD on their jumbo widescreen and you can't phone out for a takeaway pizza in downtown Dakar. It's a nice gesture but I don't think people in the third world can have a gesture sandwich for lunch to stave off hunger. Good luck walking those mean streets with no shoes on. Someone's stepped in a load of dog mess round the corner from me, hope they weren't barefoot.
roversandy Posted March 31, 2010 Author Posted March 31, 2010 lol, i think you all know what i meant, anyway im not doing it either, too dirty around here, was just asking as i read about somewhere on the interent
Hughesy Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 They might not have shoes - but they usually wear bottles strapped to their feet - do we get to wear them??
American Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 It was developed by a company who gives away a pair of shoes for each pair sold. Was just reading a WSJ article about them, and as altruistic as it sounds, they came up with the idea as a marketing ploy.
ABBEY Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Loads of tribes walk naked...I support the ABBEY NAKED WOMEN YEAR.
DeadlyDirk Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 I'm doing this challenge today, sounds easy, I don't even intend on leaving the house!
roversmum Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Loads of tribes walk naked...I support the ABBEY NAKED WOMEN YEAR. Better not go there, Abs, women come in all shapes and sizes you know, just like blokes ...
American Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Some of us love all of the different shapes and sizes of women!!
OscarRaven Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Some of us love all of the different shapes and sizes of women!! Some of us dont! Double edged sword - I would suggest clothes in today's 'obesity crisis' are a blessing.
