RibbleValleyRover
Makes sense what with the new homegrown rules. It's really the sort of model we should be looking at considering our finances, if we can bring a youngster in develop them then sell them for a big profit then that's fantastic. Sparky Marky
thats exactly what they said about Messi no mate...at 14 he was a virtual cert to become a professional, it was just a case of how good he would become...slightly different here I think..good luck to the lad, but I'm confident we won't hear about him again. Tyrone Shoelaces
I remember Alan Shearer raving about a guy that was coming through- Best young defender he'd ever seen, couldn't fail to make it , next captain of England, Blah, Blah , Blah ! His name ????????????????? Marlon Broomes !
bazza
It's good to see lots of optimistic people on here giving this young boy good backing and wishing him well. I wish him well and hope to see him in the first team in about six years time. Good luck, lad.
deryck guyler's spoon
Netherthong? That could only be in Yorkshire. That aside there are some surprising and disapointing replies on this thread. God knows what the lad and his family would think on reading them. Good luck to the kid no matter what happens for him in football or at Rovers. Definitely in Yorkshire Not heard of this lad but having coached in the Huddersfield Junior Football League I know that there are some good players around. Unfortunately one of the lad's I coached is now playing in goal for Burnley!!!!
