Torgeir Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Things must be bad not even a 11 o'clock rumours to read about........ Nicko said to check the online paper but his story must not have made it for some reason. Not sure if he would just confirm our interest in Andy Wilkinson from Stoke or not, and not sure how I would feel about him signing either. I really hope Kean meant what he said post-match regarding signings, we could really need some more signings asap.

he6rt6gr6m Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 that's your opinion, and youre entitled to it, and batman is entitled to his! fact is.. rovers would never have paid 7m for him. so saying we shouldve bought him is a pointless argument... as is the wes brown one. This whole thread is based on "should, woulda, coulda" now, with the daily rumour being inserted for us all to salivate over. I'm sure Victor Valdes' honours list is quite impressive as well, doesn't stop him being an awful goalkeeper. Igor Biscan has an impressive list too, same applies. If you play in a team that is very good they can carry poorer players. For Wes Brown he didn't even have to play much to get most of those. As for 23 England caps it just shows how biased the selection process is towards players that play for Man Utd. Valdes is awful? Are we watching the same Valdes? Anelka wants out - sign him up! Under Sam, that's a lot more plausible. Under Kean? Phat chance.
damo100 Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Another day passes by, no new faces, Kean's in court, no chairman, it's really scarey!!!! Why o Why can't venky's see what Kean being at our club is doing!!! It's in their best interests to let him go, this will much raise the profile of our club, and maybe player swould wanna sign for us again!!!

I agree with you, but I'm not sure Venky's want to part with any money, let alone Keane. I hope I'm proved wrong but with the current squad and no new bodies coming in, this time next year we will be talking about how to get out of the championship.
harryl Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 In the know rover here, just heard from a reliable who works closely with balaji we are very close to signing damien duff from fulham on 3 year deal for 2.75 million. This the first time ive posted from my source and she was right with goodwillie and petrovic so i trust him. Dont shoot the messenger! Good signing cant wait to see in a rovers shirt again. :D
steo Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 If venky's have no interest in putting money into the club then the question is why did they buy Blackburn Rovers, was it simply to promote their chicken products or to sell our best players which they have done and i expect Samba to follow very soon and replace them with very cheap or simply no alternatives,Kean is not a manager but a yes man.

Don't think it was purely to promote there chicken, would be a very expensive way of doing it and a lot of hassle. They do need to start releasing some money and fast! We desperately need a new cb, what's happened with mongongu? Let's just hope a new striker comes through the gates by weekend, its strangely quiet so let's just hope there doin business behind closed doors and not doing no business!
steo Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 I just simply don't trust them and in my opinion they have given the fans every reason to doubt them and their future plans for the club, sadly Kean can't be sacked yet because a new manager would have little or no time to bolster the squad, the Mongongu situation is strange surely the lad qualifies for a french passport, would love to see the great Raul at Rovers.
scunnyrover Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Yer it looks like we're stuck in a rut at the minute. Would love a new experienced manager in. Raul would be brilliant for us but I don't think kean would be able to handle him.
harryl Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Well this is extremely interesting, from what I've heard (again just my source) we have enquired about a player called vaclav kadlec, never heard of him myself but hope hes a gooden for the future and the present. Fits with the venkys model.

harryl Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Venkys model-free transfer? bo1lcoks diouf is our saviour
chocky Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 and what city have spent the V's will ###### their pants Even Abrahmavoc sp:- would be peeing his pants. No other club in the world can match their spending power.

Alan75 Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 I hope this is true Duffer is still a tricky left or right winger but any news on a striker??????????? Yeh - we are after a striker from Chorley whose a mate of Dunny and Duff.
daverich Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Yeh - we are after a striker from Chorley whose a mate of Dunny and Duff. Matt Jansen
adsfortheblues Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Totally off topic but does anyone know why there isn't any midweek games at the start of season in the prem? There's usually always 3 games in 7 days at the start?

Fraserkirky Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 And the tumbleweed continues to fly around Ewood Park. These Indians are having a laugh.
Veevs Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 15 days left.. whooot it goes silent bar a whispers of a utility player coming in who is yet again a 'mystery man' Boy I hope we are not waiting until the last minute in the hope that the likes of JJ available on the cheap.. such a stupidly risky strategy given our current situation because all the players who are not classed as unwanted jump up in value considerably.
roversfanben Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Well this is extremely interesting, from what I've heard (again just my source) we have enquired about a player called vaclav kadlec, never heard of him myself but hope hes a gooden for the future and the present. Fits with the venkys model. Kadlec is quality. He'll be a massive star in the future, but right now if we do sign him, I wouldn't expect any more than 10 goals. He is only 19 and has a heck of a lot of potential, but from what I have seen of the kid, he could one day be a world beater.
Stuart Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 We have bags of potential. We need E.X.P.E.R.I.E.N.C.E. Sorry to have to spell it out.
