alexanders Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 What I dont get is why we keep playing these players. It would make more sense if we saw them as players with potential who we need to bed in to english culture, language and football style.

One agent has put at least three of the Por signings on us, Kean allegedly went to Romania mid week watching CFR Cluj, good chance he was watching two of their three Por players Diogo Valente & Ivo Pinto, their agent is best mates with the agent above, Cluj manager is Jorge Costa who had a brief spell at Academica in 2010, cant find out who is Jorge Costa agent, he probably ate them all.

Hi splitscreen , not doubting any of the above but found the following. Jorge Costa left CFR Cluj in April (9th) this year currently unemployed. Only midweek games Cluj have played recently (last couple of weeks) was in the Champions league Qualifiers in Switzerland on the 21st against FC Base, 17th (Fri) and 13th Mon both league games . They have at least 8 portuguese players in their squad as far as I can tell Perhaps Keans looking for his next assistant manager, when he needs to blame the current one when we go on a losing streak

In the transfer thread there's one about Modou Sougou Senegal winger/attacker who was at Academica under Costa , then moved to Cluj, was rumoured to be who Kean went to look at

The many layers of corruption that seem to engulf football, and especially our club needs to be taken at the highest levels. If the FA are incapable or unwilling of the job, then they should be dissolved by the government, and balls to any FIFA/UEFA ban on our teams. They might be a bunch of crooks too. Hope that isn't to libellous Glenn. There's a small group of individuals at the FA/Premier league, in charge of a £ billion plus contract. I'm sure they will cover their own arses before looking into dodgy agents / illigitimate takeovers & the ruination of a historic small town football club.

blue_n_white99 Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 When I look at the history of these Portuguese players, I have never heard of the teams they played for, never mind the players themselves, am I just clueless? (Probably) or are they all just dross from overseas?
