Not in the matchday squad but in a friendly tells me he isn't injured, unless he has only just come back from one and they're easing him to fitness. Otherwise he has played a whole 2 games for them and then become surplus to requirements. Great for his development. If O'Riordan isn't ready to handle Paul Mullin then I'd suggest he isn't ready for the Championship yet. It could be a good learning experience for him though, but I don't know if I'd be in a hurry to recall him in Jan unless he progresses more by then. The friendly is on Wednesday later this week, he wasn't in the squad for a league game at the weekend. Not sure yet why he wasn't involved, but seeing as it is a loan with a view to permanent, I won't personally prefer it if his loan wasn't great and he ended up back here Players improve by playing, and learning from mistakes, O'Riordan should be left in league one for the full season (barring us having a injury crisis), and brought back next season. He is young with plenty of time on his side to get to the required standard before we need to rely on him Edit - Duru not mentioned as injured Edited September 15 by KentExile Quote

Came close to scoring with a nodded down header second half On the bench Barrett - lost 4-2 - remained on the bench throughout Pratt - won 3-2 - remained on the bench throughout Not involved in matchday squad Olson & O'Grady-Macken - won 3-0 Edmondson - lost 3-2 - presumably injured, he was taken off with a knock last weekend Duru - drew 1-1 On Wednesday, Doncaster (O'Riordan) play Spurs in the EFL cup in the only midweek game for our loanees, games is live on Sky Sports + score/update Edited September 23 by KentExile Quote

Find it amusing how he and Darren Ferguson seem to take it in turns to manage Donny and Peterborough 😅. Ferguson - Four times at Posh, once at Donny McCann - Twice at Posh, twice at Donny However my lasting memory of McCann will always be the own goal he scored against Rovers in the 7-1 win over West Ham. 2 Quote

KentExile Posted September 26 Author Posted September 26 (edited) Starts this weekend for O'Riordan - lost 1-0 - went off injured after 20 minutes with the score at 0-0 Edmondson - won 2-0 - played the full game Pratt - lost 4-1 - played the full game - gave away a penalty for 2-0 On the bench Barrett - drew 0-0 - remained on the bench throughout Not involved in matchday squad Olson & O'Grady-Macken - drew 1-1 Duru - lost 1-0 Edited September 28 by KentExile 2 Quote
KentExile Posted September 27 Author Posted September 27 (edited) Connor O'Riordan suffered an ankle injury hence his early exit. The on-loan Blackburn Rovers centre-half was replaced by Sean Grehan after just 20 minutes with McCann saying: "It looked like he got smashed on his ankle and it's just swollen a little bit." https://www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk/sport/football/a-few-are-hiding-grant-mccanns-verdict-on-doncaster-rovers-loss-to-luton-ian-lawlor-5336608 Edited September 27 by KentExile 1 Quote

KentExile Posted Friday at 20:18 Author Posted Friday at 20:18 (edited) Starts this weekend for Edmondson - lost 1-0 - withdrawn after 85 minutes with the score at 1-0 On the bench Barrett - drew 3-3 - remained on the bench throughout Pratt - lost 2-0 - came on after 87 mins with the score at 2-0 Not involved in the matchday squad O'Riordan - drew 1-1 - was reported as being touch and go with an ankle injury Olson & O'Grady-Macken - lost 3-1 Duru - lost 4-2 - Duru apparently has a "questionable" lower body injury, or maybe he is "questionably unavailable" with a lower body injury. I wish Americans spoke English rather than the bastardised version they decided to go with 😉 Doncaster, Tranmere & Oldham all play on Tuesday night in the EFL Cup (which may mean that Barrett, Olson & O'Grady-Macken actually feature), All 3 games are on Sky Sports + Edited Sunday at 09:43 by KentExile 1 Quote
